Sold, Thank You

Nest little silk flag. This type would likely have been used at parades. Nice condition measuring about 36x26cm. One of the shorter ends has remnants of three little string where it had been hung. Fabric is thin and a bit transparent. Great size for display.

Nice example of a desirable medal. Box is in great shape with a nice embossed iron cross on the lid. Clean and works well. The iron cross is a nice example with just a little lifting on the corners of the beaded rim on the inside near the swaz. The pin is a nice, original part in great shape but I believe the hook catch may have been repaired. Good overall look and a nice halo along the edge of the black core.

Really neat and scarce item. This Land Customs M43 has a shot sweatband but is otherwise in terrific shape. The sweat band has only one bit remaining and the rest of the way around is just the small attached bit. Beyond that the fabric is clean, undamaged and has a really good feel to it. The liner is also in great shape and well marked. Size 55The stiffener inside the bill is cracked but almost all real example of M43s are cracked as they fellows would fold them and stick the bill in their pock ...click for details

Very nice DRK enlisted visor cap. Terrific example with no significant damage. The black chinstrap does show honest period wear to the black surface but nothing even remotely coming close to a break or a tear. The celluloid diamond on the inside is cracked and in one corner of the visor there are four stitches out. Both of these issues are shown in the photos and the visor lays on the hat frame just fine. There are many positive. I find no evidence of any mothing anywhere. Whole frame is nice an ...click for details

Very nice Japanese rising sun flag with souvenir script. Typical example of the type of flag an occupation soldier would bring home. The silk flag itself may or may not have been produced during the war but would have been close. With nice looking writing this is a good display piece at a good price. about 17.5 x 20.5 inches.

Gorgeous pair of Luftwaffe signals collar tabs. This rank is the equivalent to a lieutenant colonel and the Luftwaffe had only three ranks higher then this including Generalfeldmarshall (The Fat Guy). Except for one tiny (Tiny) nip in front of my fingertip on the second photo, the condition on this pair is stone cold perfect. Superb set of insignia.

Oh Hold

Yes, this helmet is just about cooked. That being said, it does have that whole apocalyptic Eastern Front thing going on which is kind of appealing in its own right. I think this is a bit more interesting then the usual "junker" and does have some curbside appeal. It is an earlier rolled edge, marked ET66, and does have an interesting lot code that looks like 125 but the last digit is hard to mae out.

Super nice WWII British "Tommy" helmet. Condition is a strong 9.9 out of 10. I know little about British helmets but the only damage I find is a snag to the netting (See center of first image). Paint looks to be about perfect and all parts are soft, supple and fresh. Can't see how a better example could be found.

Very interesting Honorable Discharge from the Army of the Confederate States. Condition is rough but I doubt many of these have survived, much less even given out as the Confederacy was never in a good position to just let trained soldiers walk away. The ink is very faded but I know "document guys" do have ways of bringing old, faded ink back to life. It is possible to make out a lot of the details, though. This certificate was given to William H Dukes, a private of Captain Francis M ( ...click for details
