Fantastic item. 1923 Yankees official 5 cent scorecard. Here is a real time warp item. Great ads to read (I wonder why Black Jack licorice chewing gum isn't around anymore?) but most significantly is Babe Ruth listed as batting third. Hitting cleanup behind Ruth is Wally Pipp. Listed as an infielder on the bench is Lou Gehrig. This was Gehrig's rookie season and Pipp is the unfortunate that had a headache one day in 1925...

Very cool item. This is from the estate of Joe DiMaggio and has letter of provenance from the auction signed by Paula DiMaggio Hamra, Joltin' Joe's granddaughter. This auction was well known and much information can easily be found online. Obviously most of the material there-in was TO Joe and not FROM Joe, so is unsigned. This document is an honorary citizenship to the City of Baltimore and signed by Mayor Willaim Donald Schaefer...

On first sight one would think that due to simple physics only a dummy would have a square coffee cup. I found Bill O'Hara online and it is clear that he was no dummy. Bill O'Hara left school early to join the merchant marines in WWII where he served in Europe and the Phillipine Sea. He later joined the U.S. Army and was in the Korean conflict early, being awarded a purple heart for wound in 1950...

Documented souvenier from Charles A. Lindbergh's famous solo Transatlantic flight. He is noted as saying that there was a fly in his cabin that kept him company and kept him awake. When he arrived in France's Le Bourget field on May 20, 1927, he captured the fly and had a Parisian craftsman bronze it as a personal souvenier. There is a supporting document file named in the upper left corner "A.P.C. 197" (Alien Property Custodian) 197 hand written over which is "FILE X 1934 X-21171...
