Excellent signed two piece WWII Japanese Hinomaru flag. This silk flag is well made ande has the addition of two corner reinforcing tabs of the same material as the center disk. Lots of signatures in different handwriting. One light stain about 1x5 inches is hard to notice. One small hole (See photograph-quarter near the hole for size perspective). This flag is a real eye pleaser and needs to be framed.

Beautiful Imperial German Hussar sword. Inset into the grip is the skull and crossed bones representing the elite Hussars. It is often forgotten that before WWI this symbol was the proud symbol of Germany's elite fighting force, namely the heavy cavalry know as Hussars. Detail on this is superb. Handsome, silver lion head handle is really a nice one. Lion's flowing mane trails to the backstrap. Red ruby eyes go very well with the toned silver of the handle...

Small size Native American rug. I believe this is Navajo but I am not an expert (Oppinions are most welcome). 14x30 inch (not including fringe) makes it a lovely size for a backdrop in a display. Very pleasing color scheme and good condition. One small area of staining (see photos). This may clean out but I won't try. No damage that I can find. Someone will be happy with this one.

Imperial German sword with fish skin grip. Wire wrap is excellent. Significant oxidation to handle (see photos). Blade is just beautiful with one side depicting horse sdrawn artillery, floral designs, swords, a trumpet and an artillery pickelhaube. The other side shows similar motifs and is engraved to the 25th Hessian Field Artillery Regiment (See photos). Just a gorgeous blade.

Civil war foot officer sword by Collins and Co. Hartford Co. Dated 1862, so a nice early date. Blade is engraved with floral pattern, a large "US", an eagle with a ribbon in its beak and arrows in its claw, and various flags, drums, shields and polearms. Handle is a beauty with nicely patinated brass with a fair amount of gilt left and no wobble when twisted. Perfect wire wrap over undamaged fish skin grip...

This is one of those items that you have to like more the more you look at it. It is a silk hinomaru flag to which was added a gold fringe and a purple silk border. The quality is evident in that even the purple border has a pattern of hummingbirds over water that was too subtle to catch on a photograph. The dedication states that it was a gift from Nakao Kazuo to Ushijima Juzo with a phrase basically stating "Good luck in long fighting"...

Excellent, ORIGINAL, pre WWI German regimental stein. Reservist Wilden. Kgl (?) Bayr. 22 Inff Regt 9 Comp. Saargemund 1912-1914. Nice bright colors with no chips, cracks or damage that I can find. Very interesting as it actually has the fellows photograph beside that of the king. Lithopane on bottom shown in photos. The lion thumb catch has a crystal eye. These crystals are tiny (about 2mm diameter), but had detailed photographs visible when peered through...

This is the very desirable "Order of the Golden Kite 6th Class" medal. This is very popular with collectors as it is strictly for military valor. Condition is excellent with nice toning to the medal. The original ribbon is a bit faded and has the metal catch still on the back. Includes the button hole ribbon. Box is excellent with 3 tiny chips to the lacquer (on the sides and back-barely noticable). Box is also form fitted for this specific medal. An excellent package.

This offering is a Prussian medal commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kaiser Wilhelm I. It is dated 1897 and lists his birth date as March 22, 1797. It is an attractive and solid medal, showing him in his spiked helmet.
