Interesting Bavarian shako with a very attractive horse hair plume. I am not sure of the exact use or designation of this piece but it is definitely an old example. Considering the age the plume is in great shape (See images). Nicely detailed brass Bavarian plate on the front. Officer's metal scale chin strap with Bavarian style lion rivets. There is one officer's type cockade on the wearer's left...

Really nice set of pink panzer oberst shoulder boards. Oberst is equivalent to a Colonel. Both boards are slip on variety and show no damage but gentle signs of age that should be expected. The buttons are an extra bonus. Gilt pips are very nicely sunk in on both sides. There is a hole on each board central to the two pips. Undoubtedly the fellow was a Oberstleutnant (Lieutenant Colonel) promoted and had to reconfigure his pips. I like this and it sort of adds another layer of personality...

Here is a nice offering out of my collection. Superb, honest cuff title for Jagdgeschwader Molders. One moth nip on the front a little more then an inch away from the end of the ebroidery. There are two moth nips on the back of the folded over edges. Some smoothing of the pile of the fabric but still in choice condition. Machine embroidered title is clean and crisp. This title has a good deal of personality.

Very cool G.A.R. kepi for the first New Hampshire regiment which fought at First Bull Run and other notable engagements. Very neat bullion patches and GAR buttons. Very solid structural condition. Damage consists of 2 nips to the fabric and a blister to the bottom of the visor all shown in the photos. Nips are hard to notice because of the dark color of the hat overall. Label looks to read "THE M. C. LILLEY & CO COLUMBUS OHIO MANUFACTURERS OF MILITARY AND SOCIETY GOODS"...

Extremely interesting example of an Imperial German Bavarian belt buckle. Nice two piece brass frame with silver Prussian crown disc. Sides and reverse show a most interesting mechanism that I honestly can't exactly figure out; It looks like some sort of a friction type fit. Middle tab is marked DRGM 172088. Really a most unique buckle which would look good in even an advanced collection.

WWII Japanese navy tunic. No damage that I can find. Label shown in picture is just under the bib in the rear. Nice example.

Beautiful set of medical officer shoulder boards. Condition can't be beat. The cornflower blue velvet backing is clean and fresh and free of nips. The front shows just the tiniest age wear to the top edge of the aluminum weave. This is really nothing but adds a little character. The gilt cyphers are 98% or so and sunken in very well. The posts are under the velvet so these have been on forever. These are wide and very well made so probably late WWI through early Reichswehr...

Hat badge for high ranking Japanese officer; Probably admiral or admiral staff level. Gorgeous bullion and very three dimensional. Quality on this one is stunning; Definitely not your typical $50 hat badge.

Very nice Russian belt and buckle. Buckle is clean and in good condition. The brocade is lovely and has a real nice toned patina. Two clips for sword or dagger hangers. Some parts of the reverse are age faded a bit more then others but still really a great looking rig.

Nice, honest example as per photos. Inside is superb, fresh and clean from the leather right down to the wool top padding and the tag nestled under the crown rivet.

Nice, original WWII era German aiguillette. I believe with the red trim this should be for Red Cross (DRK). While I am sure of the age I am assuming on the Red Cross designation so would appreciate input.

Very nice pair of leather shin guards for horseback riding. These are typical of the type that Japanese officer's would wear and sure enough, each piece has written inside "Second Lieutenant of Infantry Nishimura Katsujiro in very nice, clear writing. Named gear is always fun and these would look superb with an appropriate uniform. Condition is terrific throughout with only the mildest signs of age and use. Straps and buckles are all present and leather is soft, supple and nicely toned...
