Cute little cat netsuke. At about 3.2cm high this is not a large example but it is tastefully carved and has a nice ivory grain throughout. Signed Mitsu Yuki.

19th century domino set. I sometimes see these called ivory but I believe actually whale bone. This type is certainly 19th century. Full set of 28 with original wooden box. Ships only to US address minus California.

Attractive ivory holder for small cigar or cigarette. The oval hole on the gold end is about 12mm x 8mm. Stamped 14k. The holder itself is in great condition. The case certainly shows its age and has one small piece of the leatherette cover missing near the latch. The hinge and latch do work perfectly. Inside is most of a "GENUINE IVORY" label. Obviously pre-ban. Ship to US minus California.

Very cool feldpost document stamper. The last photo is the actual imprint given. "Dienststelle der feldpost Nr 59 645B". It looks like this was used first in 1943 by Staff and Companies 1-4 of Reserve Panzer Grenadier Battalion 215 which was destroyed in 1944. In June of 1944 this feldpost designation was used by Staff and 1st Battalion Panzer Grenadier Regiment II, also destroyed 1944. Clearly this stamper was bad luck. Very neat, very real item.

Very interesting optician's ivory ruler. I don't know how this would be used but it all seems to be related to measuring eyes and related "stuff". Nice, even grain throughout. There is a crack right down the middle that follows right down one of the measurement lines. It looks like possibly etching the line along the ivory grain caused it to separate a bit and this was fixed by adding the small metal piece at the end with the 4 tiny rivets...

Soft leather holster for a Walther P38. In good, original condition except for the addition of the rawhide strap that has the look of a veteran add on. Markings on back are not pressed on very hard so difficult to make out. Code looks like DKB but last letter is super faint. Below that is a "44" and what looks like a light waffenamt. Honest example.

No matter what anyone thought of Frank Rizzo, nobody was of little opinion and his years as mayor of Philadelphia were extremely interesting. Rizzo, who graduated step by step from beat cop to mayor, was known for his toughness and one famous photograph showed on his way from a full dress function to a prison riot with a billy club tucked into his tuxedo. This book is a guaranteed good read. Priced half of cover price.

Older ivory Chinese chess set. Despite being well carved, it looks like the king and "queen" are actually bone and from something else. The other 30 pieces are all ivory and show a nice grain on flat surfaces. There are a few nicks on some of the red pieces that could be easily touched up with a bit of paint. Some other small condition problems such as the decapitated knight (Could be glued back)...

Neat piece of pharmaceutical advertising. Fluid filled, clear man with colored organs. The drug advertised is Diuril and was produced by Merck Sharp and Dohme. Some research indicates that these were used in the late 1950's.

Very nice painting of Marie Antoinette. I am not well versed on the subject but I believe this is oil on ivory. The frame is just beautiful and measures just under 15x13 cm. The labels on the back "Made in Italy" and "Hand Painted" are typical of Italian exports I believe between 1910 and 1920 but the painting is likely older then that. I am not sure what the tape on the rear is holding together as the back stand, although a bit loose, does seem to be anchored...

Nicely done bone inlay tray. I would think that this is from southeast Asia. Good sized example at 47x33cm. There is a fair amount of surface wear due to age as well as missing inlay here and there. I do not repair items but I would think that the missing inlay could be filled in and of course there are always ways to fix surface wear. The wood is a mystery to me being quite dark and having a grain that looks almost like hairs. Pretty work on this piece and priced quite fairly.
