Very nice DRK enlisted visor cap. Terrific example with no significant damage. The black chinstrap does show honest period wear to the black surface but nothing even remotely coming close to a break or a tear. The celluloid diamond on the inside is cracked and in one corner of the visor there are four stitches out. Both of these issues are shown in the photos and the visor lays on the hat frame just fine. There are many positive. I find no evidence of any mothing anywhere. Whole frame is nice an...

Superb First Class Iron Cross. This is a 900 marked three piece award. Probably the best I've ever had. Some very light wear to the front but nothing that one wouldn't expect on a real piece. Stabilizing spike is on the upper reverse. No damage found. please see images for condition; It is nice.

This is not a minty piece but is just how I like it. Early blade marged M3 Camillus combat knife dated 1943. The handle is cracked along each rib as these tend to do. It looks fine but wiggles with finger pushing. The blade shows solid wear and old sharpening. M6 paratrooper scabbard is also dated 1943 and shows wear similar to the knife. Nothing is broken on the scabbard but it definitely has its share of scuffs. I also really like this bootlace thing going on at the end. Honest been there para...

Here is a truly fascinating piece with a great look to it. Four place round ball bullet mold. The mold portion is brass. The smallest ball mold diameter is about 7mm and the largest is about 13mm. The swiveling arms are iron and the handles are wood. The brass portion has written on the side FAI PAR COUPIL A BONNETABLE. The design is simple but when the handles are swiveled out and squeezed it is clear that plenty of pressure can be brought to bear. The arms do have a little jiggle to them but t...

Top notch First Class Iron Cross by L/10. This maker mark corresponds to Deschler & Sohn. Deschler was an old and highly respected firm which, when not using the LDO series number, was simply number 1. This cross is in top notch condition as per images and the case is just about stone cold mint. Really a super example that would fit into even very advanced collections. Great EK1.

Very high quality full dress tunic for Japanese naval captain. Lovely dark blue shell with bullion work around the color that is just out of this world. There is one small snag in the bullion but almost impossible to see with all the activity. None of the buttons look to be reattached nor does there seem to be any repairs. The inside is made of a high quality quilted fabric that is very clean and pleasantly pliable. There a couple of tine rub holes on the inside lining but truly not a big deal a...

Lovely Bavarian cavalry stein for one of the royal regiments. 5 Chev Rgt (Chevaulegers-Regiment) "Erzherzog Albrecht von Ostereich 3 Esk (Squadron) 1901-1903. No chips or damage that I can find. Correct lithophane on the bottom. Very nice piece.

Very tastefully executed katana tsuba showing a Dragon in the Clouds motif. Attractive dragon with very fine detail contrasts very nicely with the plain surface of the majority of the tsuba. The front shows the dragon's head, one leg and tail. The reverse shows just one small body segment and about an inch away from that just two toes, supporting the idea the sometimes less is more. Large size measures 8.5cm from top to bottom, 8.0cm from left to right, about 4.5mm thick and weighs just about 5....

Terrific 1/2 sized miniature army dagger by Eickhorn. Nice white handle variant. Eickhorn did use white handles on some daggers later in the war so it is interesting to see it in miniature as well. The miniature knot is also a pleasant addition.

Very interesting and very rare item. This is a rare (And obsolete / defunct) badge for employee of Sing Sing prison. I am not sure when numbered badges were put into use there but this would have been shortly thereafter with a low badge number of 171. Really a great look to this badge with an even and pleasant degree of age wear on the front (See photos). While the main anchoring would be done by the screwback on the reverse I believe there may have been a stabilizing pin on the reverse of the e...

Interesting doeskin jacket. Definitely old and definitely real but has a Hitler Youth diamond pin and gold lettered Hitler Youth district triangle. All buttons are HJ DJ buttons. I can't think of anybody spuriously putting the boys' triangle on when the girls' is cheaper. I am leaning toward this being worn by a woman who was involved with the Hitler Youth and don't see any reason why this is not possible. A couple of spots on the back look like something that could be scraped off (I touch nothi...

Way cool gold eagle for luftwaffe general's summer tunic. Very strong gold finish with very light wear to the front. Reverse shows gentle patination. Pin is a little bit bent but I see that as a non-issue. The final image is interesting as it shows the border of where the gold finish was applied and not applied. Just a really neat item.

Very nice Bavarian Currasier sword. Engraved on both sides of the blade with the Bavarian motto "In Treue Fest". Early double squirrel Eickhorn logo. Blade is near perfect with just a tiny area of white speckling (See photo), otherwise mirror bright throughout. Blade has a pleasing heavy curve to it. The scabbard has no dents but does show some areas of paint loss (See photos). The handle shows the expected patination and minor oxidation. Fish skin grip and wire wrap are in great shape. Nice, ra...

Very cool pair of Waffen SS Cavalry or Motorized Reconnaissance shoulder boards. These were used and tunic removed the hard way; Ripped off at the top. There is some nipping that is hard to photograph as the fabric is still black on black but the last photo shows the worst spots on each piece. The nips on the back are easier to discern and are shown in image two. Basically an extremely interesting pair of shoulder straps with damage from field use and some mothing.

Superb Luftwaffe winter flight helmet by Siemens. This model LPkW101 was the later war cold weather flight helmet with significantly upgraded electronic communications. This example is just about perfect. Shell shows soft, healthy, unscuffed brown leather. Interior wool is bright and clean with the original fabric Siemens label which is likewise in perfect shape with crisp, clean and well contrasting wording with no running colors. The main plug is bakelite, maker logo marked and also marked BLK...

Interesting menpo. Below is an old ring mail skirt laced on. It looks like this is the correct configuration and intended use but the skirt has been laced on with a modern shoelace. Apparently a quick repair by previous owner, this is reflected in the price. Overall reasonably solid condition. The gold wire border on the skirt is frayed from age and there menpo itself has a crack on one side (Please see photos attached). A bargain price if you need a filler menpo until a more elaborate example i...

Very nice condition fire police NCO visor cap. Just a small area of where on the rear edge (See final photo). Insignia is nice and sunk in with a been-there-forever look. Nice celluloid maker diamond from a firm that specializes in fire fighting equipment. Stamps designate this hat as being from the Obersalzberg area police force with inspector dates of 1942 and 1943. While the hat is certainly correct, I don't know how to tell if these markings are legit but I would assume nobody would be addin...

Very nice Italian Order of the Crown. This is the neck order in gold and is a very attractive medal overall. There is one spot of very minor chipping to the enamel on the front right arm. This is not very noticeable and detracts very little. Terrific overall enamel work with inset stones. This order was instituted at the end of the 19th century. This example is consistent with WWII era. Lovely medal.
