Way cool gold eagle for luftwaffe general's summer tunic. Very strong gold finish with very light wear to the front. Reverse shows gentle patination. Pin is a little bit bent but I see that as a non-issue. The final image is interesting as it shows the border of where the gold finish was applied and not applied. Just a really neat item.

Terrific M43 field cap. This luftwaffe example is perfect except for evidence that the sweat band at some point in its existence actually soaked up some sweat. Very easy to write a description on something that doesn't have anything wrong with it.

Interesting menpo. Below is an old ring mail skirt laced on. It looks like this is the correct configuration and intended use but the skirt has been laced on with a modern shoelace. Apparently a quick repair by previous owner, this is reflected in the price. Overall reasonably solid condition. The gold wire border on the skirt is frayed from age and there menpo itself has a crack on one side (Please see photos attached)...

Very nice Italian Order of the Crown. This is the neck order in gold and is a very attractive medal overall. There is one spot of very minor chipping to the enamel on the front right arm. This is not very noticeable and detracts very little. Terrific overall enamel work with inset stones. This order was instituted at the end of the 19th century. This example is consistent with WWII era. Lovely medal.

Very nice condition fire police NCO visor cap. Just a small area of where on the rear edge (See final photo). Insignia is nice and sunk in with a been-there-forever look. Nice celluloid maker diamond from a firm that specializes in fire fighting equipment. Stamps designate this hat as being from the Obersalzberg area police force with inspector dates of 1942 and 1943...

Here's an over the top item. Fastening clasp for Luftwaffe officer cape or cloak. The cape was an optional private purchase item that was no longer available after the war began. This clasp is a textbook example. Each boss has an eagle head with a short chain connecting, one side of which can hook and unhook. Correct silver light weight metal with aluminum back discs. The clasp is sometimes called a "Spanierschlosse" (Spanish castle)...

Lion Head officer sword by Eickhorn. Blade has some spotting but not bad. Handle has handsome lion head with ruby eyes and some gilt remaining in recesses. Wire wrap is near perfect with just the slightest looseness on the top two rows, but they are in place. Assembly is nice and tight. Scabbard has one dent and a little oxidation near the throat. One throat screw has cracked head causing minor looseness to the throat insert...

Very cool and important piece of equipment for German mountain troops. Handle is stamped GJR 137 indicating this was issued to the Gebirgsjager Regiment 137 or 137th Mountain Infantry Regiment. This unit saw a lot of combat and is worth a quick search. The pick itself is in great shape with no damage found besides normal age wear (Please see photos). The head is maker marked STUBAI. Over the head is a leather protective cover in excellent shape dated 1938 and marked as made in Berlin...

Very interesting Horster officer sword. Made for a Dutch officer as "Eisenhower" has become the Dutch form YZERHOUWER. In either language it is a reference to the highest quality of steel being used. The blade on this example has no negatives I can find. Mirror bright throughout with no greying or oxidation. The Horster logo is beneath the langet...

This medal couldn't be any cooler. This is a Brigade Commander (Most certainly a general) medal from the UCV (United Confederate Veterans) 1937 reunion in Jackson Mississippi. Confederate veteran medals are rare and cool enough as it is but honestly, how many COnfederate generals were still on this side of the clouds in 1937? Yes, the ribbon is obviously well worn but this is just such a neat medal.

Nice luftwaffe flight suit. Leather is in overall very good condition. There is one gash on the leg (See last photo). Also, on the rear of the neck, under the collar the stitching is out and there looks to be a tiny additional tear (See photo) but this is small and behind the collar so basically unnoticeable. Besides that, minimal age wear only. The best part of this suit is that all of the zippers are in good working order. I don't remember the last suit I saw without one missing tooth; And the...
