Nice army engineer NCO visor cap. Size is 54 and marked on crown. There is some moth nipping mostly on the felt band. This is certainly priced in and is subtle as the colors are dark throughout and next layer doesn't show much at all. Visor remains very nice and shows only some very minor wear. In the corner of the visor there is a touch of glue showing and the sweatband is stuck on at that spot...

Powerful plaque depicting angels casting out a German soldier from the city of Reims as the cathedral burns in the distance and the French civilians lie on the ground. The burning of this cathedral was one of the major propaganda points for the French during WWI. The plaque is in wonderful shape. The box is intact and the pressure fit button works. There is damage to the lid lining as per last photo and a little bit in the front corners...

Engraved Bavarian sword by Eickhorn. I believe this short model (Just over 70cm end to end) is intended for use by police. This is an early Imperial German example with the early back to back squirrel Eickhorn logo. The blade is very nice with no nicks or plating issues and only very minor light spotting here and there due to age. Both sides of the blade are engraved with the Bavarian "In Treue Fest" motto (In true service). Also engraved is the distributor J.M. PAUSCHINGER NURNBERG...

Gorgeous K98 combat style bayonet. Maker marked by WKC. A top nothc late war example probably made just before they switched over to wood grips. Included frog is in mint condition as well with RBN number that matches well with the period of manufacture of the bayonet. To top it all of is a perfect NCO bayonet troddel or knot. I guess I should mention also that the matching scabbard is mint also. An awesome set that would be more then difficult to match.

While this is well past the point of having collector value this is still a very interesting conversation piece that almost speaks for itself. There is just enough left to see the ghost of the SS decal. It also appears to have been a camo. I believe the previous owner put replacement rivets in to make it look more complete. I will leave them there to the discretion of the next owner. The pitting is too extensive to make out shell markings but again, the ghosts seem to be there. Very cool piece.

Very cool overseas or side hat, badge and belt buckle combination for a sergeant of the Spanish Blue Division. While Franco managed to hold Spain out of WWII it was allowed for a volunteer division to be sent to the eastern front. While Franco's goal was to avoid plunging Spain into the maelstrom of war, allowing this volunteer division to be formed was more then likely a way to get the hot heads out of the country. At any rate, this is a nice set of scarce items. All original WWII vintage...

Fascinating Islamic style powder horn. I would date this at 18th century but may go into beginning of 19th century. The horn itself is a ram horn with its beautiful and distinctive ridges. This is the type of horn used for Judaic Shofar so certainly is right for the area. Very pleasing metal work throughout with openwork around the whole piece. Condition is excellent with everything present and in good shape and no cracking to the horn. Measures right at one foot from tip to tip...

This was always a personal favorite as far as flags. This flag signified that the qualified harbor pilot was in control of the respective ship. Special harbor pilots were (And I belive the practice is still used) because these pilots knew the obstacles, tides, currents and other details of the particular harbor in question. This is an attractive flag with marine type ties. Original metal grommets in place, one of which is marked with a 3...

Very nice cased Iron Cross First Class. Cross is overall excellent condition as per photos. The box is a real screamer. This is the quality domed box with embossed iron cross. The leatherette cover is soft, supple and healthy with very light wear. The inside lining and felt base are clean and undamaged. The button works great and the rear hinges are in perfect shape. This box is easily and at least a 9.5/10. Really a nice, untouched set.

Documented souvenier from Charles A. Lindbergh's famous solo Transatlantic flight. He is noted as saying that there was a fly in his cabin that kept him company and kept him awake. When he arrived in France's Le Bourget field on May 20, 1927, he captured the fly and had a Parisian craftsman bronze it as a personal souvenier. There is a supporting document file named in the upper left corner "A.P.C. 197" (Alien Property Custodian) 197 hand written over which is "FILE X 1934 X-21171. The header re...

Absolutely terrific colonial American corkscrew. Business end is very magnetic hand forged iron. In general design it is crude but it has some very attractive ridges and rings and a nice central bulge which is very nicely beveled. Certainly made by a blacksmith with some skill. The handle is hollowed bone with some groove work on the sides and to a lesser degree in the center. A minor degree of chipping on the edges but nothing disfiguring or even unexpected in a piece with this age. One side ha...

Cool grouping from a member of the 90th Bomb heavy bomber group. This unit fought in Asia and was famously called the "Jolly Rogers" after their skull and crossed bones unit ID. The patch is blue with red stripe with one nip about 11 o'clock and some rub burn around the bottom edge (See photo). Also included is an excellent 11 place miniature medal bar and a unit history from one of the reunions. Very fun set.

Gorgeous Imperial German 1914 Iron Cross First Class. Jeweler quality with a nice convex vaulted shape. The center of the reverse is marked 900 silver and the patina throughout certainly backs this up. Lovely untouched cross with a great look would fit well into advanced collections.

Very nice Civil War cartridge box with both tins. All the straps and button are in fine shape. 1864 type with embossed US on the front. There is a hole on each side of the embossed US. Some units attached plates for the victory parades for uniformity so this is a period alteration. Leather is strongt throughout with only the obligatory surface crackling due to age in just a few spots. Nothing is near breaking or falling off. really a nice specimen priced right.

Very nice silver grade clasp for Transport and Glider squadrons. Fair amount of silver finish throughout. The back hook is a bit bent. The front is missing the eagle attachment but still looks good as below where that should be is an identical eagle. Has anyone ever figured out why they added an eagle attachment over an identical eagle? At any rate, a cool medal priced accordingly.
