A very impressive piece. Eagle trophy presentation reads: "Our esteemed company commander SS Haupsturmfuhrer Zahn in memory of the 4th (MG) Company of the 8th SS TK Regiment, Lublin on January 30, 1941". This rank is basically equivalent to a captain which is right in line with being a company commander. Apparantly this fellow was the commander of a machine gun of the 8 SS Totenkopf regiment. While Lublin has terrible memories associated with the war, I would assume that this unit, being a machi...

Excellent mid-war complete uniform for army artillery leutnant, right down to the suspenders and boots. Because of the detailed photography necessary I am splitting this into two separate listings. The fabric throughout is perfect, fresh and undamaged. This uniform was well cared for, possibly right off the rack as the tailor tag is still in the pocket (In French) and the label sewn in the inside pocket has the same tailor emblem (JB). The best way to describe this is to point out the few negati...

Terrific, untouched NSDAP Political Officer uniform including service tunic and riding style breeches. Blue piping on tunic indicates Ortsgruppe level and the four pips indicate rank of Gemeinschaftsleiter. Size below the back collar is 49. Inside interior pocket can be found the correct RZM label for "DIENSTROCK W fur Politische Leiter". The medals attached include 1935 Arbeit and 1936 Mai tinnies, black wound badge, enamel party pin and a numbered silver wound badge. All are original and were ...

Yes, you read the title correctly. This came from an advanced collection. I am not in a hurry to sell this and mostly listed this to share it with some of my regular customers that I consider friends. The bottom text reads "Spare parts for boiling water pump". I believe this was off of a parts locker or cabinet meant for boiler repair but I guess this could also be for a water pump; Hard to tell with my imperfect grasp of the German language. At any rate, I doubt that after many years of searchi...

Luftwaffe Double Decal M35 with solid camouflage remaining. Colors are a nice, deep autumn or late summer and have a look that leaves no doubts. Maker and size marked Q64. Soldier's name is on the liner and initials painted on the skirt. One liner tongue has an old repair but very subtly done. Top notch helmet with a great combat look that would fit well in any collection.

This lovely, unique Civil War relic is out of my collection. Carved by a confedrate veteran in remembrance of the battle of First Bull Run, this pipe has every spare piece of space carved with something clever. The pipe bowl is in the shape of a bull's head with the underlined word "RUN" right between his eyes. Above this is a soaring eagle. Below this word is a southern gentleman leading Abraham Lincoln by a chain. The southerner's name looks to be "Sowarel"; I have no idea who this is and I ma...

Very tastefully done sterling silver Bezique card set, probably from second quarter of 20th century. Case is done with very detailed repousse work featuring a multitude of cherubs with a floral swag pattern. Top of box is monogrammed "SSA". Hallmark on base of box is unknown (to us.) Top and side compartments are purple lined and include four sets of cards; Two have the same SSA initials and there are two that have U.S. IRS import stamps for playing cards (one is detached from the pack). Other i...

Very rare, hard to find tunic. Text book four button wool construction with upward sloping pockets. In great condition throughout. The only negative I find is that the stamp below the color is not very clear. This type of sleeve insignia was introduced in 1943. With no border on the Org Todt armband this was for EM or NCO; I would assume NCO with the red tress around the color. Great example of a very rare item.

Lovely steel Jaeger Zu Pferde pickelhaube. These mounted light infantry were similar to dragoner units and the helmet is patterned after cuirassier spiked helmets. The blued steel is in line with 1915 regulations and this example is made by C.E. Juncker and dated 1916. All metal parts are period and appear to be original to the helmet. Light age wear as shown in attached photographs. I do believe the chinstrap is a reproduction. A lovely helmet for those who like Imperial spiked helmets and a ha...

Really, really nice transitional helmet. I am calling it a double decal as it was issued as such. Most likely the national tri-color shield was removed when regulations dicated this to be done. It was a smooth even job done without damaging the helmet but traces of this decal do remain quite clearly (See photos). The Wehrmacht eagle decal to the left is in great shape. The finish is very strong throughout but as most 70+ year old hlmets are, there is some wear to the finish. The largest area of ...

Yes, it is a darn shame about the decal hit on the eagle. All I can say is that I didn't do it and that it saddens me also. If everything was perfect, though, we wouldn't have the thrill of the hunt, right? Anyway, the eagle looks gold to me but could be toned army. Have added three closeups of the bird with different lighting with and without flash. Under a loop it does have metallic sparkle. Consistent wear throughout. Chin strap is broken. SE maker mark was Sächsische Emaillier u. Stanzwerke...

Exceptional quality Indo Persian shield dating to late 18th or early 19th century. Gold and silver floral design throughout obverse. At one point gold and silver relief was entirely offset by fine black enamel work. Over the centuries the black enamel has largely worn from the center, raised section but remains thick on the lower, outer portions. This does afford the piece an honest and tasteful aged appearance. The center shows four raised bosses backed on the reverse solid hexagonal bolts pier...

The quality and condition of the fabric on this tunic is top notch. This must have been in a safe collection for quite a while as the fabric is soft with a full pile and minimal wear. I am sure it has been displayed in a flat case because when laid out for photos the arms just flop right down in the perfect display position with just the right bend on each side in the back. It is early quality throughout and as it was most certainly private purchase there are no inspector marks. One knowledgable...

Super nice 50 year veterans standard bearer gorget. Nice, original condition with full length chain. I don't clean or fix anything so a quick polish on the front might make this look even nicer but it is a screamer as it is. Unit or group engraving looks to be "Woltmersh. Wehr. u. Kr. - Kameradschaft e.V" which looks a lot better on the gorget then in computer type. I see no damage to the enamel past normal age toning. A scrap of fabric has been added to the reverse; Probably a period addition t...

I like this tunic as it really tells its own story. It is a brown walking out type tunic. In the close up of the medal bar the pocket flap is pulled up to show the fabric underneath, showing the age toning of the outside of the tunic. The 8 space ribbon bar shows a combination of Imperial and Third Reich medals including army long service, Eastern front 1941 and WWI iron cross with 1939 spange. There are medal loops below the ribbon bar; It looks like an Iron Cross 1st Class is missing but the W...

Very cool WWII era Type 92 (T-92) Machine Gun Scope. Optics are nice and clear with grid showing. Good looking piece throughout with the correct markings. Also includes the original carrying case with unbroken strap and leather tab. Scope fits nice and snug into slide groove in case. Great piece throughout.
