I know this item is not cheap but I had to pay a lot to get it and would like to share with my regulars. This bronze armored assault badge, maker marked by Wiedmann, has every bit of the bronze finish applied when it was first manufactured. I usually don't like to estimate finish percentages but 100% is an easy one to guesstimate. The bubbling up from below is always a good sign as this process takes time but this example is sort of freakish...

Very cool tinnie marking 10 years of the Berlin Gau. This Gau was the personal prize of Goebbels. Shows the Berlin bear holding the eagle and swaz with a long line of standarten.

Here is a great item for the guy who understands the importance of this unit. We recently bought a collection and this belonged to the owner. He was sent to Europe right after the war and the unit was interrogating Nazis and gauging political climate and ramifications in post war Europe. This collection was really full of unique and interesting items rarely encountered, but this plaque was actually from his unit in the 1107th ARASU. I know two things about this unit...

This is a scarce and highly deirable pair of collar tabs. Saar and Prag were the two motor formations that were allowed to have the full name of their location on their collar tabs. This pair is from Motorsturm 14 of Motorstandarte Saar. The rank is Sturmfuhrer which is the lowest officer rank on the NSKK scale. I believe this particular unit with others were combined to form the motorized group Westmark...

Very nice early 1847 pattern Prussian Belt and buckle. This pattern was used through 1895. Attached sixth image shows the reverse with solder points. The buckle is quite attached to the leather so I decided not to remove it for photos. Rare to find with the proper leather belt. There is one scrunched edge on the leather as well as a small square from an old price sticker. Very nice, early belt.

This is an interesting button hole pin reading "zur erinnerung an 1870" and a Maltese or Iron Cross in the center. I have actually seen a lot of fake enamel examples of this pin but didn't know there really was such a thing. This war was a rather quick French thumping. This is a painted example and I have included obverse photos both with and without flash to show the most detail possible. Cool item very reminiscent of later Third Reich membership pins.

Very nice silver medal; The 1870 Medal of Merit for the City of Rome. The only negative is the blob of wax on the ribbon which could certainly be removed by someone properly motivated. The important point is that the original ribbon is present. ROMA is found on the ring attaching the medal to the suspension ring. Very nice medal.

Very nice political campaign button for Teddy Roosevelt and Fairbanks who won the 1904 election. Backmarked Whitehead & Hoag Newark NJ with patents dating 1894 1896 and 1898. Condition is excellent as per photos. A little more then 2cm wide. Nice item.

Very attractive 1st Class Iron Cross. Excellent condition as per attached images. The catch is bent down a little bit and I don't really see a reason to bend it back up (If it isn't broke don't fix it). Very pleasant convex shape can be seen in images 5 and 6. Images 2 and 3 are with and without flash respectively. The box is also a wonderful example with an embossed (Not just painted) iron cross on the top center. The push button catch works well and the leatherette covering shows minimal wear...

Two place 1914 Iron Cross medal bar with matching ribbon bar. The second medal is Hindenburg Cross. The Iron Cross is a real nice example with very pleasant toning and an overall look just the way we like them. The red stripe on the Hindenburg is a bit faded and there is also a bit of red staining. Perhaps the poor guy got shot in his dress uniform? Otherwise the ribbons are structurally in good shape with no fraying and a very nicely done wrap job...

Very nice 1914 Iron Sross 2nd class. Ring is hallmarked M . Condition of the medal is top notch and just where collectors like to see it; Very clean, undamaged and smooth but just enough very gentle aging where it is obviously real and with some personality. Nice, crisp black core and nicely toned silver frame. Original ribbon nicely folded. These have long been undervalued and are becoming a hot item with the hundredth anniversary of WWI. Top notch example of a classic medal.

Nicely made tinnie which looks to be for 1915 Christmas celebration. It is only about 1 1/4 inch tall but nice and solid with an interesting back catch. Front has stippled background and nicely silvered raised details. Really a nice piece.

Fantastic item. 1923 Yankees official 5 cent scorecard. Here is a real time warp item. Great ads to read (I wonder why Black Jack licorice chewing gum isn't around anymore?) but most significantly is Babe Ruth listed as batting third. Hitting cleanup behind Ruth is Wally Pipp. Listed as an infielder on the bench is Lou Gehrig. This was Gehrig's rookie season and Pipp is the unfortunate that had a headache one day in 1925...

Interesting NSBO tinnie looks to be from the September 1933 flag consecration in the city of Kirchen. We do know for sure that that particular administration loved their flag ceremonies. I don't believe that Kirchen was ever a terribly large city so really an interesting tinnie.

Beautiful example of a classic badge. This example has a simply lovely chocolate patina throughout with original pin on the reverse. This badge was given to those who attended this famous rally in 1933. The importance of this rally was soon recognized and this badge became an officially recognized medal which could be worn on uniform. A must for any serious Third Reich collection.
