Very interesting horse artillery officer saber by Horstmann and Sons Philadelphia. The blade is deeply patinated and the engraving is difficult to bring out in photographs. Besides the blade the whole package is brass. The scabbard is all brass as well as the handle. Even the grip which at first glance looks like textured fish skin is in fact brass. The Horstmann name is engraved as well as tool punched in. As one might imagine, the large brass content makes this a heavy sword...

Good looking signed Japanese soldier's Hinomaru (Meatball) flag. Nice, clean example with many entries in many different handwritings. One small hole in the red disc, a few stains and the corner tabs are a bit loose but all in all an attractive, well signed WWII flag. Would look great in almost any display.

Interesting bag for care packages to be sent to Japanese soldiers. Not many of these survived so this is a rather uncommon item. About 13.5 x 7.5 inches. Nice graphics with a rising sun flag and a hinomaru flag. Some age wear as per attached images but still a good looking display piece.

Top notch First Class Iron Cross by L/10. This maker mark corresponds to Deschler & Sohn. Deschler was an old and highly respected firm which, when not using the LDO series number, was simply number 1. This cross is in top notch condition as per images and the case is just about stone cold mint. Really a super example that would fit into even very advanced collections. Great EK1.

Very nice early style NSKK motorcycle crash helmet. Eagle plate has cool yellow patina that only nickel seems to get. Nice piece of insignia. The helmet itself is complete. Leather is strong but could benefit from leather conditioner but there is no hurry on that and I prefer to let the long term owner do such treatment. One side ear cover does show some scuffing. Liner is size 58 and complete/undamaged. Front tongue is maker marked Hans Sch- . Nice, scarce helmet.

Nice Fascist bronze medal issued by the War Ministry or Ministero Della Guerra. 20th Anniversary of the WWI victory with the dates 1918 1938. Width is 4cm. Front shows a good looking eagle with Savoy crest. Reverse shows winged victory leading a gallant Italian charge. Another interesting point is the 1938 has below it XVI which indicates 16 years since the Fascist rise to power. Nice medal/medallion.

Very cool ashtray from the famous Copacabana nightclub. Very historic nightclub was the place to be in its heydays of the 1940's and 1950's. Endless stories with celebrities and mafia connections. Great piece of history. As with all my stuff I don't clean it to make it look pretty, I just leave it like I find it.

SS Police NCO sword in excellent condition throughout. The SS rune pommel cap retains solid blackening. One very important concern on such a sword is that the SS pommel cap have a good fit with no weird spaces, scrapes, odd angles or patination differences with the rest of the handle (Obviously any of these area point of concern). This one fits nicely and has exact match of patina indicating the sword has been together as a unit...

Miniature second model Luftwaffe Dagger by SMF. Lightly sharpened which is common on these as owners really did like to use them as letter openers. Crisply marked SMF Solingen with logo and marked DRGM. Scabbard shows its age but undamaged. Nice hard to find and scarce mini dagger.

A nice high quality infantry officer visor cap. There a couple of condition issues which are not terrible disfiguring but certainly considered in the competitive price. The celluloid diamond in the crown has the maker name Extra-Klasse which is an obvious comment on their opinion of the quality of the caps they produced. The lining does seem to be in excellent condition and I find no problems...

Gorgeous K98 combat style bayonet. Maker marked by WKC. A top nothc late war example probably made just before they switched over to wood grips. Included frog is in mint condition as well with RBN number that matches well with the period of manufacture of the bayonet. To top it all of is a perfect NCO bayonet troddel or knot. I guess I should mention also that the matching scabbard is mint also. An awesome set that would be more then difficult to match.

Very nice Social Welfare leader dagger. The only difference with Red Cross leader dagger is the circular holes for the hangers. The only negative is a hairline crack in the grip. There is no wobble at the point of the crack and no missing material. The crack is also old enough to have age darkened (See images). Some very minor spotting to the blade and only a couple of tiny rubs to the finish of the scabbard. Blade is nice and bright with no sharpening. Some gentle spotting as per images...

Very nice Kriegsmarine coastal artillery overseas cap. The fabric in the back is a different color from the front. I believe this is an interesting example of a lot that was contracted to a French manufacturer. The French, irritated at being an occupied country, made all the caps in the smallest size possible. Since most of the Germans were not twelve year olds the caps had to be resized. Maker marked B.A.W. with a couple of size markings, the latest of which looks to be 58...

It makes me feel old to call 1980's vintage but I think it works with this one which just off the chart on the Richter Scale of coolness. The jacket is typical 80's Levi and the entire thing is covered in superb artwork, patches and pins. Just as proof that our man here was well rounded the right sleeve has a long Metallica patch and the left side of the back has three smaller patches. Everything else is all K.I.S.S. and the hand done portrait work on the back is fabulous (Image 2)...

Excellent WWII German army sword knot. The leather strap is strong but soft and supple. The acorn ball has the correct green and silver top, Twisted aluminum wire on the bottom and the correct tip with green fabric interwoven by six rows of aluminum wire. All topped off with a very pleasant red-brown leather slide. Really nice knot and the cheap way to make that great sword in your closet looked twice as nice.

The GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) was the Civil War Union veteran organization. A sword like this could be purchased by a member vet who was very proud of his service or had extra money (Or both). The blade engraving is very elaborate. On one side is a portrait engraving of Abraham Lincoln. Below that is the obligatory stand of arms which is well executed with cannon, drums, sabers, flags, bugle, many pole arms and even a liberty cap atop the highest pole-arm. Above that is the E Pluribus Unu...

Very nice looking King's Crown patch also known as an Imperial Crown or Tudor Crown. I am not well versed with British insignia but this does look WWI to me. Attractive patch constructed very much like bullion insignia but in soft, neutral browns. There is a small nip above the left fleur. The research I put into this indicates this was rank insignia for Warrant Officer in Australia or Squadron Corporal Major, Company Sergeant Major etc in the British Army. Nice patch.

Good looking original SS eagle with strong original silver wash to the front with some rubbing mostly on the top of the wings (Just where we would expect it).
