Very cool Infantry Assault Badge document to a man in the 315 Infantry Regiment. Awarded "In the field" November 13 1941, very early in the Russian campaign and the beginning of that famously miserable first winter. In fact, things were already so tough that the "I" key on the typewriter was broken. "Im Felde..." has become "Jm Felde" and the unit is given as "...Jnf.Rgt.315". Interesting bit of personality. Nice clean document with nice stamp also from the 315th.

Fascinating pressed paper tinnie. Tag der Nationalen Solidaritat d.Dez. 1936 Neuland-Halle - Adolf Hitler Koog. This is the only tinnie I ever recall having pertaining to a building (Which is shown on the tinnie). Apparently this was a community center house which was turn into a learning center for National Socialism history. Some very basic research shows that this building is currently a hot topic as they are trying to figure out what to do with it and its history...

Nice, complete rig. The cherry is the 1944 dated Boyt 45 holster with lanyard which is nice and clean and in great shape. Also included is the M1936 pistol webbing belt, canteen, magazine pouch and M1942 first aid pouch. Nice set looking for a manikin.

Extremely interesting tinnie from the 1933 Volksdeutsche Opferwoche (Or Ethnic German Victims Week). The Volksdeiutsche were ethnic Germans who found themselves living in areas that were part of the German Reich mostly before WWI. While many may have been discriminated against in their new countries pre-WWII Germany used them and a greatly inflated image of their suffering to help point out the wrongs of the Versailles Treaty...

Great looking army eagle shield for tropical pith helmet. Nicely maker marked and dated G.B.41 (Gustav Brehmer 1941) which puts this smack in the middle of Rommel's DAK glory days. Really a great piece with just the right toning to make it look just groovy. Top.

Very nice DAF unit flag. The town patch indicates it is from St Wendel Ost (Sankt Wendel). This town is just a bit north of Saarbrucken in the Saar region which is of course of great importance wo WWII history. Condition is overall excellent. There are a few small holes but this type of fabric almost encourages them with its loose weave. They are all tiny and really get lost in the size of the flag. The worst spot is the last photo...

This embroidered tinnie features a soldat resting with a bent knee against a slight incline. The series shows German soldiers from different time periods but this is my favorite with the helmet pose. Would great sitting besde a helmet on a shelf.

Very nice Eastern Front medal with award document dated August 19 1942. The medal is a top notch example with full length ribbon, silver wash intact and hallmarked 13 for Gustav Brehmer. This medal is popular with collectors with a good looking helmet over crossed grenade and bayonet. It was awarded to those who fought through the first viscous winter of the invasion of Russia and nicknamed the "Frozen Meat Medal". Nice set.

NSDAP Flag or banner with town patch and silver fringe. Great looking flag with nice, rich colors. There is some light soiling on one side (See last image). There are a couple of very tiny holes but this is perfectly common and acceptable with this type of fabric with its loose weave. They are certainly tiny enough to be completely lost in the size of the flag; About 53 inches by about 45 inches not including the fringe...

OST Ostarbeiter patch. Intended to show that laborers were imported eastern laborers. The freedom of these eastern laborers seems to have varied greatly. I think the majority of these patches were worn by Ukranians brought in to work industry while most of the German male work force was on active duty. Condition is overall excellent with minor signs of age.

Very cool postcard of Luftwaffe condor legion veteran and his wife. Very well decorated, medals include EKI, EKII, Luftwaffe long service, Spanish Civil War medal along with bomber flight clasp and air gunner/radio operator badge. And all topped off with the always popular white visor cap. This fellow was in the middle of it and one gets the feeling this postcard is mostly an opportunity for him to showcase his medals. Terrific image.

Excellent 1943 dated Mein kampf. Very minor shelf wear and book remains in excellent condition throughout. Pages are clean and crisp. There is a group of a few pages towards the back with tiny dogears; Not many and I will leave as is rather then pick at them (See last image). The cardboard shelf sleeve is also in excellent shape and is rare to still be with the book.

Cool Japanese helmet with Rising Sun painted on front. Liner system is gone and some damage to top in the form of three round dents. Some civil defense force units did paint these on and this paint is certainly old. Supposed to have come from Okinawa; A point I have no reason to disbelieve. Great look.

What item screams "D-Day" and "Normandy" more then an Org Todt M43 field cap? Todt was, of course, the entity mainly in charge of the Atlantic Wall fortifications and defenses. As far as Nazi era organizations went Todt was actually rather well run and effective with earlier successes highlighted by the still famous Autobahn. Normandy was certainly thick with Todt personnel when D-Day came around and this cap being an M43 make it more likely then not this was in the vicinity on June 6...

Afrika Korps type tropical field cap. Sometimes termed M43 but actually M41. Condition is well worn with some damage as per images. Any markings are long gone. The tan/orange tropical insignia have been replaced with green. Perhaps the original had to replaced and the the fellow simply had no access to the original color. Any number of circumstances could have caused this and we have all seen strange things. Priced accordingly, though.

Respectable NSFK dagger in untouched, uncleaned condition. Very nice early nickel fittings. Nothing is broken but there is decent wear to all fittings. The scabbard leather is original but with solid scuffing (Which I do believe is better the "refinishing"). The point does look a tiny bit smoothed off. Nothing is broken and the fit of all pieces is perfect. Perhaps most interesting is the n.cely marked scabbard throat. It has the NSFK Icarus as well as waffenamt. It also has the markings T.S...

Excellent example of a cool medal that has become scarce and hard to find. This famous medal was awarded to introduced early in 1942 to commemorate the successes of Rommel's Afrika Korps. This is early when the numbers involved were few. After the Italian capitulation wear of the medal was forbidden which further adds to its scarcity. This one is the early bronze die struck version and features two knights (Presumably one German and one Italian) jamming a sword down the throat of a crocodile (Su...

Nice porcelain candy dish with a portrait of Hindenburg in uniform with medals. The banner reads Gen.-Feldmarschall von Hindenburg over an iron cross. Surrounding is a stand of arms with Prussian flags, rifles, cannon etc. There is a hairline crack across the lid but still a good looking piece for an Imperial display. Bottom is maker marked "ROYAL RUDOLSTADT Prussia" around a brown and B in shield.

Very interesting horse artillery officer saber by Horstmann and Sons Philadelphia. The blade is deeply patinated and the engraving is difficult to bring out in photographs. Besides the blade the whole package is brass. The scabbard is all brass as well as the handle. Even the grip which at first glance looks like textured fish skin is in fact brass. The Horstmann name is engraved as well as tool punched in. As one might imagine, the large brass content makes this a heavy sword. All in all a fasc...
