Unissued bayonet troddel or sword knot. The width of the yellow acorn cap is about 3.8cm. Clean and perfect. This color combination conforms to the 7th company. I believe the leather strap and slide indicate a grenadier guard regiment. Very nice tassel.

Interesting cigarette case celebrating German and Italian unity. The plate shows Mussolini and Hitler above an eagle holding both the fasces and swaz. Across the top is a banne reading VINCERE which translates to 'conquer' or 'victory'. The outside around the central plaque is painted to simulate tortoise shell. The inside is a green/aqua color. Condition is just about perfect with the bands inside in good condition as well as the spring clip...

This is a good looking double sided pennant which is made with a reasonably high degree of quality. If not for the nipping visible in the attached images it would be a real looker. The long edges are about 53cm and the short edge is about 18cm which makes this a nice, smaller size which usually works well for display purposes. The center swaz is a nice bevo weave and the outside of the white discs are nicely chain stitched...

Nice, original Demjansk campaign shield. This one is especially desirable as Demjansk was very much a Waffen SS (Totenkopf Division) affair. Surrounded and cut off from logistical support for an extended siege these fellows held off a significantly superior Russian force for most of the winter, fighting in deep snow and often counterattacking successfully when their perimeter was threatened...

Good looking postcard apparently in a German infantry barracks. The officer is going over a document while the landser clean their weapons and look tough in their spiked helmets. Lots of cool equipment and even cooler mustaches. Great postcard to add to an equipment display.

The RNST was the German agency that oversaw the governmentalization of the agricultural industry. The motto "Blut und Boden" translates to "Blood and soil" and was meant to imply that the blood of the "folk" was equivelant to the earth's soil and both were dependent on each other. Or some such nonsense meant to celebrate the connection of the "folk" to the nation's farming industry...

SA dagger by Gustav Wirth who is one of the scarcest makers of SA daggers. Really about as common as left handed chopsticks. Unfortunately this one is missing the scabbard but this is certainly the more important half. Conditionwise this one is a real cherry. Buttery smooth nickle crossguards fit perfectly to a surprisingly clean and unscarred handle. The blade also fits to the crossguard quite snug and the whole package has clearly been together fr the duration...

Very cool two photograph sequence of the destruction of a German sub. The cover slip on both is a warning to watch the release date. The first image shows the u-boat being bracketed by explosions after being forced to surface. The second photograph shows the water disturbance, oil slick and part of the conning tower showing above water after the sub was finished off. The descriptions are on the back of the release date warning and the photos are reported to have been taken November 10 1943...

Really nice Alcoso RAD leader dagger. Everything is nice and tight and clean and all fits together correctly. The grip on the logo side does have a crack. The good point is that this crack is the opposite from the blade motto so won't show in a display. The blade is very lightly sharpened and I honestly didn't even notice this until looking at the blown up images on the listing. Going back to the dagger it is even hard to see when looking for it. This and the crack are priced in...

Goodness, what a cool niche piece. This might not click with many collections but if odd aviation or Eastern European volunteer is of interest I don't know where one might ever find another example. Gorgeous example of a rare dagger. N.P.E.A. student dagger with bottom crossguard marked N.58 . This is an early number and the "N" indicates the school to be Naumburg/Saale. Students had the option of engraving the school on the upper crossguard and this one is indeed engraved N.P.E.A. Naumburg/Saale. I believe the upper engravings were done upon graduation. The blade is an extremely nice example with very minor age wear and cross graining still showing. The engraved motto "Meht sein als schein...

Very nice, large WWII era Japanese naval sake cup with a diameter of 10cm. Very strong paint with gold leaf anchor with Rising Sun flag in the center adorned with cherry blossoms. Also in gold, across the top is a crane whose wings extend to give the whole cup a gold rim. The crane is a symbol of loyalty to the emperor. On the bottom is the soldier's name: Yoshikawa. I find no damage or even paint rubs. Great piece to add to an Imperial Japanese navy display.

This is a great looking WWI German patriotic pin or brooch. The center is a transparent dome with an Imperial navy flag. Around that is a laurel wreath with bow. Just an absolute screamer SA dagger by RZM M7/27 Pumawerke. I am quite serious when I say the only spots on this one is the little flake to the plating on the edge of the cross guard just below the eagle grip inset and the tiny rub to the scabbard paint on the backside just below the scabbard throat (See last two images for both). Other then those two spots I can't find anything worth pointing out and this is easily the best paint I have ever had on an SA scabbard. The blade shows perfect blacke...

This is a rare medal with great history behind it. This commemorative war medal was instituted by Elector (Kurfürst) Wilhelm II on 14 March 1821 to recognize Hessian soldiers who took part in the second and final round of the Napoleonic Wars 1814-1815. Inscribed on the edge is "AUS EROBERTEM GESCHÜTZ" which translates to "From captured cannon", indicating that the metal used for this decoration was from a cannon captured at Waterloo. Absolutely lovely Imperial German war veteran flag or standard or banner. Whatever it is it is gorgeous and shows the manufacturing techniques of a bygone time. The flag has a nice, solid cotton base and sandwiched by a silk layer on each side. As is usually the case with such flags the silk has been damaged. It just doesn't take a very long period of neglect to ruin silk. Luckily the embroidery and bullion is anchored to the cotton so no details or trim work is lost. To prevent further loss I h...

Very scarce arm badge or sleeve eagle for male DRK uniformed personnel. The patch worn by the female uniformed personnel (Triangular patch with district) is more common but the male sleeve eagle seems to be quite hard to locate. Nice, honest M43 Luftwaffe field cap. Size marked 55. The RBN number is too feint to read on the left side. One moth nip in the wearer's left corner of the bill. 1849 dated model 1840 cavalry saber by Ames Mfg Co Cabotville. This model which predated the model 1860 is a big, heavy thing nicknamed "The Wristbreaker" and the only thing worse then swinging one would be to be on the other end. The handle wrapping is long gone and the metal parts have been painted gold long, long ago as was often done in veteran groups such as GAR. This is more subtle then in my flash heavy photos but gold painted it is. The good angle there is that the gold paint is heavily ...

First class iron cross box. This does need a little bit of tlc but mostly superficial. The upper front panel is a bit loose, some of the leatherette could be glued down and the thin fabric covering the hinge is frayed out. The first two are fixable by a spot of glue and the fabric should probably be trimmed away to make it unnoticeable since manyhave the hinge showing anyway. Interesting bright red sash with kanji that translates to "Naval Aircraft Technician". I believe this would be worn on the flight deck in a similar manner that we still have different color shirts for maintenance, fire control etc. This way the confusion of a bustling aircraft carrier flight deck is a little easier to figure out. Very interesting Japanese military sake bottle. The front shows a sword, helmet and flag resting on cherry blossoms in an oval depressed into the porcelain. Above this is a star. This is a nice enough motif but as the bottle is turned it becomes evident that subtly raised from the porcelain body is a whole series of further military themes; Cavalry, artillery in action, charging infantry, a rolling tank, horse pulling limbered artillery, infantry scaling a slope, a large falling bomb and an airp...

Top notch Luftschutz other ranks belt and buckle set. The EM box buckle is close to perfect on the front and nearly perfect finish on the interior. Some minor age wearon the top and bottom maybe from that being where one might pick it up and leave oils on the surface. But even this wear is more like a light freckling. Very rare 1930's private purchase USMC EGA cap insignia (Eagle, Globe and Anchor). Terrific detail throughout with longitudinal and latitudinal lines. The eagle's right wing reverse has the MEYER METAL logo and the reverse of the left wing has the NS Meyer shield logo. The lower right corner of the eagle is darker then the rest of the EGA. At the bottom of the arm the reverse is maker marked RZM M1/35 for the firm Wachtler & Lange, Mittweida. Extremely rare and extremely cool 3/4 sized 1914 Iron Cross Second Class. This extremely rare and extremely high quality private purchase medal has the feel and toning of silver. Gorgeous Ground Rohm by C.G. Haenel in Suhl. I have seen this maker produce great looking handles and the grain in this grip fits the pattern. The inset eagle, SA roundel and nickel fittings all fit snug and tight throughout with no odd angles and a bolt that certainly looks unturned.
