Interesting factory tied white and blue cap eagles for the summer on-board cap. There are four separate patches here so it is very possible some were removed over the years. Nice and clean.

First Class Eastern People award in silver with original hinged award box. Both the medal and the impressed likeness on the top of the box are the variant without swords which are a good bit scarcer then the combatant version with swords. Condition is solid throughout as per images and the silver wash on the obverse of the medal remains solid. The back of the hinged pin is hallmarked 100 for the firm Rudolf Wachtler, Mittweida. Nice, hard to find cased medal.

Nice Feuerschutzpolizei helmet with leather neck guard for fire fighting duties. Very nice decals to both sides. This is an attic find so it does show many years of age but still a self respecting helmet. Very light surface oxidation almost looks like foxing throughout. The double buckle chinstrap is fixed in place even though one end is shortened down to where it is fixed to the buckle. The size 54 liner is complete and undamaged with darkening across the brow probably from period use and wear...

Iron Cross Second Class with white ribbon for non-combatant or civilians. Far scarcer then the standard combatant variety. Condition wise this cross is a winner with nice toning and no damage or corrosion. The ribbon is clean despite showing age coloring. The suspension loop is hallmarked but these Imperial marks baffle me sometimes and I have not seen this one before but it looks like "M/II M". Too tiny to photograph any better then in the final image. Excellent cross.

Absolutely gorgeous stickpin for the 1939 Spange and 1914 Iron Cross First Class. This is a rare enough stickpin but this is the best example I've encountered. Large size with the cross and spange measuring a hair over 2.6cm. With the pin it measures just short of 6cm. If not silver it is a high quality nickel silver with superb beading and crispness to the smallest details. To ice a fabulous stickpin the profile of the Iron Cross shows a lovely convex curve...

Very nice RADwj pennant. Unstretched it is 115cm high not including the loops and a bit over 200cm in edge length. I find no holes beyond the signs of typical use at the very tip which can be seen in image 4. Also on this fourth image can be seen the reinforcing stitching typical of period pieces. The only stain I find is along the bottom edge and can be seen in image 5. On the red field this stain is very hard to see...

Top notch M4 Camillus bayonet for the WWII M-1 Carbine. Blade is just about perfect, wood grip is undamaged with a nice warm, healthy color. Langet is market U.S. M4 CAMILLUS and on the other side shows the flaming bomb. Scabbard is marked U.S.M8 B.M.CO. Excellent rig comes with the web belt as shown.

Terrific, untouched NSDAP Political Officer uniform including service tunic and riding style breeches. Blue piping on tunic indicates Ortsgruppe level and the four pips indicate rank of Gemeinschaftsleiter. Size below the back collar is 49. Inside interior pocket can be found the correct RZM label for "DIENSTROCK W fur Politische Leiter". The medals attached include 1935 Arbeit and 1936 Mai tinnies, black wound badge, enamel party pin and a numbered silver wound badge...

Very cool set out of the woodwork. Excellent NSDAP Political Officer belt buckle backmarked RZM M4/27 for the firm Overhoff and Cie. The leather on the belt is crisp and clean with a remnant of the paper label on the reverse. Just beside the tongue is penciled in the owner's name but not clearly enough for me to venture a guess. Tongue is size marked 90. Leather is also RZM marked towards the keeper end...

Terrific NSDAP standard bearer gorget. The front plate is undamaged and the patina looks to me as though it has never been cleaned. On the reverse the original green felt is complete and shows one TINY moth nip on the back (See images). The chain is a real treat as it is complete with the correct 31 links and the patina is even throughout indicating that this chain has most likely been together since the war...

Super cool Sanke WWI postcard features 12 different Blue Max award winners. These Sanke postcards are very sought after which makes sense because they all look great. The bottom left corner does have a small crease but this becomes understandable when we flip it over and see that is was mailed to a feldpost in July 1917 and was fully used. Earlier postcard includes Boelcke and Immelmann but does not yet show Richthofen in the top group. Postcard is really beyond cool.

Fabulous reference book covering just about every uniform from Fascist Italy during the war, starting with the 1926 Fascist March On Rome. Shocking number of color plates showing military, political, youth, female auxiliary and on and on. Catalog excerpts, detailed text, innumerable photographs and well over 100 color examples of uniforms in wear as well as page after page of various insignia, some of which are quite obscure...

As collectors we know there are many Japanese military sake cups out there. And even trays for military sake sets. Far scarcer are military sake cup holders. This is the second I have had. Measuring about 9x8cm this holder is presented in the shape of an unfurled Japanese war flag with strong paint and only one short, light scratch in one of the red rays. The reverse has four kanji characters that are not clear enough to read. In the circle is the maker logo reading "Mikiyama". Stamped in ink is...

WWII Japanese Army steel helmet that is a real talker. Not at all a pristine example but an overall salty look that fairly screams front line combat. The base shows original olive drab coloring over which an irregular band of lighter, browner paint has been added to break up the color field. For a Japanese soldier to add a sort of camouflage paint scheme to his helmet one would consider the situation to be very front line. The wear and oxidation are over top of both paint layers indicating it wa...

Absolutely gorgeous gold wound badge back marked 65 for the firm Klein & Quenzer. The badge itself is about as god as it comes with the front showing a stone cold 100% gold gilt finish. There are a couple of spots on the back where the finish is not absolutely perfect (Sorry) and these are separated by the pin as we would expect from normal rubs. But the back finish is easily better then 90%. Pin assembly is perfect and the 65 is crisp and raised. You could look for a long time and likely not fi...

Really a very, very cool Egyptian general's visor cap. There are one or two other examples online that are far fancier but without doubt far later. I have handled many WWII visor caps from various nations and this is very close in both materials used and method of construction. In my best educated opinion I would put this in the 1950's if not to the 1948 war with Israel. Elaborate front cap badge with Egyptian eagle is made of a pleasantly toned bullion is an exact match in style and material wi...

RAD athltic sport shirt with scarcer smaller patch. Very clean example in a large size. the size tag on reverse collar is unfortunately gone except for one remaining thread. There is also one very small hole about 2.5 inches below and to the right of the RAD patch. This particular short is featured on page 542, volume 2 of Robert Newbrough's excellent book set Sports and the Third Reich, History, Uniforms, Insignia and Awards. Also there is the added bonus that this shirt also is the large feat...

Nice steel army belt buckle and tab from a maker not often found. I have always liked this maker logo as it is crisp and interesting. MSS 40 with the letters in a shield are the letters and 40 (For 1940 manufacture) to the right of that. MSS Stands for Math. Salcher & Sohne Jablunkau. The leather tab has an oval maker logo with this firm's name and the same date 1940 in the center. The leather is soft, healthy and undamaged with a nice rich brown color. Stitching is likewise in great shape. All ...
