Very attractive medal reading BATTAGLIONE GENIO PIONIERI "CENTAURO", which of course refers to the engineer battalion of the Centauro Division. In the middle of this wording is the unit emblem of the centaur shooting an arrow. On the reverse is a nice rendition of what seems to be a tank using a plow to clear a path through obstructions and a pontoon bridge in background; Both good engineer references. The Centauro Division was formed in early 1939 by expanding the 1st Armoured Brigade Corazzata...

Terrific item. Funeral sash from the services of Gauleiter Joseph Burckel. Burckel was an interesting figure who ran afoul of the Nazi regime towards the end. Supposedly he and his wife both committed suicide together but there also is speculation that they were "offed" by the regime and the turmoil following the July bomb plot. Whatever the case may be Burckel was certainly a power player for a ling time and this is a piece of real interest. Condition is terrific with some wear to the lettering...

Terrific silver wound badge by L/11 Wilhelm Deumer. Early high quality silver plated tombac personalized with soldier's name: Kagelmann. So fun to find early personalized items that are obviously real. This was probably awarded for service in 1939 or 1940. Great item for even advanced collections.

What a wonderful item celebrating its 100th anniversary. As the British were approaching Christmas in the first year of the war Princess Mary commissioned these to be made and sent to British soldiers. There were far too many in uniform to all get one so there was a prioritization method. Princess Mary went to great effort to show her appreciation and solidarity to British soldiers in many other ways including visiting the wounded in hospitals...

Very nice navy administrative official silver belt buckle with keeper. Larger size for sword belt. Excellent condition as per images. Both keepers being present is a real bonus. Very good maker FLL. The silver example is scarcer and the number of such listings with both keepers is minimal. Very nice all around belt.

Ein Kampf um Deutschland 1933. Wow, what a cool and historically significant piece. This is an early 1933 magazine probably put together if not released before the seizure of power as it very closely follows the propaganda of that rise to power where they were instilling fear in the people and presenting themselves as the force that could save them...

Very nice pair of 'swallow's nests' for army musician. Front shows rich silver brocade with army green backing. The reverse has a black backing. Condition is excellent throughout. If one looks very closely at the top the brocade looks a bit raw at the ends but it just wasn't really finished off experlty when it was cut. This is very subtle and not damage as it is clearly consistent throughout both sides and just simply how it was made. Tip to tip each piece is just a hair over 26cm long...

Nice Luftwaffe belt buckle. Tab is maker marked and dated Dransfeld 1941. Buckle is unmarked but the work on the catch is 100% distinctive Dransfeld work. Good bit of original finish on buckle and leather is in good shape. Nice buckle for someone who likes distinctive examples from odd makers.

Interesting tinnie showing Potsdam Garrison Church with the dates March 21 1933 and March 21 1934. This tinnie is commemorating one year in power for the Nazi party. This is actually a scarce tinnie showing the same dates and motif as the 5 Reichsmark coin. Nice, early and significant tinnie.

Very nice SA tinnie. This was for a sports event for SA Gruppe Hochland in 1938. Good design with a sword resting on an oak leaf wreath very reminiscent of the SA sports award. Maker marked RZM M9/3 LAUER NUREMBERG. It is interesting that 1937 and 1938 are when we see transitional daggers as well with both RZM code and maker name.

Nice DAF tinnie for a 1934 even in Württemberg Hohenzollern. I believe this 16 day event was roughly equivalent to a job fair. Early in the new regime employment was a major concern as mass unemployment was a leading downfall in public acceptance of the Wiemar government. Of course it was not long at all before rearmament became the wonder drug for unemployment. Followed of course by employment with the armed services. Interesting how sometimes problems are just replaced by bigger problems...

Absolutely terrific colonial American corkscrew. Business end is very magnetic hand forged iron. In general design it is crude but it has some very attractive ridges and rings and a nice central bulge which is very nicely beveled. Certainly made by a blacksmith with some skill. The handle is hollowed bone with some groove work on the sides and to a lesser degree in the center. A minor degree of chipping on the edges but nothing disfiguring or even unexpected in a piece with this age...

Very cool panzer skull stickpin. Not at all one of the comical fakes popping up everywhere. Good looking skull with proper proportions and depth, properly twisted stem and proper attachment to the back of the skull. Nice looking stickpin with good detail on a small piece. Skull measures just about 1cm across.
