Cool patriotic envelope showing Uncle Sam's show stepping on the caricature heads of Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo with the title STAMP 'EM OUT! Mailed to Staten Island in 1943. A bit of the flap on the rear right is sealed but the artwork, of course, remains funny artwork.

Very well made Red Cross of Merit. This is a higher grade Red Cross medal with very nicely executed enamel work on both obverse and reverse. Case us undamaged and form fit for this medal. Excellent example.

Very hard to find KDF tinnie. Kraft Durch Freude was a state run recreational organization designed to give working families the opportunity to take vacations they would not normally be able to afford. The not so bad plan was to raise the moral of German workers but also to show the outside world how happy the new German workers were who were bringing Germany out of its post WWII depression...

Nice 1st Class Iron Cross by 26. This indicates the maker B.H. Mayer. Does show a healthy patina from age and wear. I think it looks great as is but certainly could be cleaned up by someone who prefers. I like crosses in this condition that show the halo on the outer edge of the core along the silver beading. I don't believe this can be reproduced and is something I always like to see. Cross gently convex in shape. Nice, honest example.

Nice little German bicycle club. Central emblem shows a bicycle over the black white ad red national colors, below which reads ALL HEIL. Nice gilt oak leaf wreath around the bicycle. The back piece is a large ribbon with oak leaves and acorns. The silver wash on this back ribbon is well worn but all in all an interesting and attractive pin. Construction typical of 1920's to early 1930's.

Interesting Japanese collar insignia. It took me a while to figure out exactly what this was but finally found it in my Nakata book. Of course I am not sure if my translation is perfectly accurate but it seems to be collar insignia for cadets at officer training school and would go along with the usual rectangular rank insignia with stripes and stars. I was not able to find any similar examples offered for sale. Nice bullion wreath with metal star affixed in center. Apparently a scarce item.

Very scarce Group Six Assaulting Battalions Medal. This was some campaign in East Africa and the same instance from which the more famous Montagna Cross arose. Fascist medal made in 1935 and designed by Costantino Affer. Obverse is Mussolini giving his Roman salute. Around him are the battalion names. The reverse shows two gladii over a fasces. In the center is the place names where these battalions particularly distinguished themselves in battle. Unfortunately this is the incorrect ribbon...

Very nice set of three Inuit ivory figural carvings. Older pieces with some of the dark lines that ivory grain often shows over the years. These were probably mounted on something at one time as there are holes in the fellows' feet. The tallest is 5.5cm. Nice little grouping.

Very nice 1st Class Iron Cross. Screw back variant. The back piece is marked AT ad 88. 88 would be the maker Werner Redo, Saarlautern. I do not know what AT references. Very nice variant iron cross.

Terrific photograph of two German soldiers on a Soviet KV-1 Heavy Tank. I see no damage on the tank so I would assume it was "captured" and out "knocked out". These were the first Soviet heavies the Germans encountered. While the main gun was low velocity the frontal armor was very thick and many German armor and anti-tank troops had the unpleasant surprise of watching their hits bounce off...

Very cool pair of Marx Toys helmets. These are doughboy style but WWII vintage. These are red and I think there is a silver version also. Terrific condition when one looks at what is usually offered for sale. These were toys in every sense of the word and after spending years battling in neighborhood backyards the condition usually suffers significantly. These have good shape and excellent remaining paint. The first one shown in detail is complete with a nice strong decal...

Very nice WWII cap edelweiss for mountain troops. Maker marked GB 41 for Gustav Brehmer 1941. WWII insignia should have a straight stem and five sewing holes. Post war Bundeswehr examples have a hooked ending on the stem and I believe four sewing holes. Nice example of a hat device that is not too easy to find anymore.
