Nice little silk Japanese flag with very interesting telescoping pole. The flag is about 35x24cm. I do think this flag is WWII vintage. I have married this up with the pole which I do think is post was but very interesting. The attached photos show it first at full length of three sections. The last section telescopes telescopes into the second. This combination unscrews from the bottom section and if turned around will screw in inside the bottom. Very clever. The silk flag is not attached and w...

Nice two place Baden medal bar. The Baden service medal shows some bubbling of the finish. The iron cross is a beauty with a very strange hallmark. It is hard to make out but looks like it is probably the WILM hallmark which is an odd variant. If not it is just some other weird variant so cool regardless. Lovely cross if you are one looking for different variants.

Very cool set of EON Greek fascist youth stickpins. One each of black, gold and silver. Hard to find and extremely interesting insignia.

Strange optic device that I have not had much luck in figuring out. The device itself has typical German feldgrau green paint. Marked R.F. 3x12.5 FENNEL KASSEL 141 with a large hand painted 25. There is a finger twist screw in nut to attach it to some sort of equipment. The optics are nice and clean and shows 6 lines forming a cross hair of sorts. The form fit case is typical German military with a belt loop and spring tightened closure strap. On the side is stamped FENNEL KASSEL 1937 with a waf...

Nice looking HJ Winter Service Cap. Shell is in great shape. The liner is well used and looks it but generally in good shape. A bit worn out in the direct back (Next to last photo). Modeled after the military M43 this is designed so the fold up flaps can be pulled down and buckled under the chin in cold weather to cover the ears. Nice, honest example.

Very attractive medal reading BATTAGLIONE GENIO PIONIERI "CENTAURO", which of course refers to the engineer battalion of the Centauro Division. In the middle of this wording is the unit emblem of the centaur shooting an arrow. On the reverse is a nice rendition of what seems to be a tank using a plow to clear a path through obstructions and a pontoon bridge in background; Both good engineer references. The Centauro Division was formed in early 1939 by expanding the 1st Armoured Brigade Corazzata...

What a wonderful item celebrating its 100th anniversary. As the British were approaching Christmas in the first year of the war Princess Mary commissioned these to be made and sent to British soldiers. There were far too many in uniform to all get one so there was a prioritization method. Princess Mary went to great effort to show her appreciation and solidarity to British soldiers in many other ways including visiting the wounded in hospitals. There are some sites with great information availab...

Ein Kampf um Deutschland 1933. Wow, what a cool and historically significant piece. This is an early 1933 magazine probably put together if not released before the seizure of power as it very closely follows the propaganda of that rise to power where they were instilling fear in the people and presenting themselves as the force that could save them. This extremely interesting 31 page magazine is stuffed with virulent propaganda covering the infectious spread of communism and presenting issues su...

Very nice pair of 'swallow's nests' for army musician. Front shows rich silver brocade with army green backing. The reverse has a black backing. Condition is excellent throughout. If one looks very closely at the top the brocade looks a bit raw at the ends but it just wasn't really finished off experlty when it was cut. This is very subtle and not damage as it is clearly consistent throughout both sides and just simply how it was made. Tip to tip each piece is just a hair over 26cm long. Really ...

Interesting tinnie showing Potsdam Garrison Church with the dates March 21 1933 and March 21 1934. This tinnie is commemorating one year in power for the Nazi party. This is actually a scarce tinnie showing the same dates and motif as the 5 Reichsmark coin. Nice, early and significant tinnie.

Very nice SA tinnie. This was for a sports event for SA Gruppe Hochland in 1938. Good design with a sword resting on an oak leaf wreath very reminiscent of the SA sports award. Maker marked RZM M9/3 LAUER NUREMBERG. It is interesting that 1937 and 1938 are when we see transitional daggers as well with both RZM code and maker name.

Nice DAF tinnie for a 1934 even in W├╝rttemberg Hohenzollern. I believe this 16 day event was roughly equivalent to a job fair. Early in the new regime employment was a major concern as mass unemployment was a leading downfall in public acceptance of the Wiemar government. Of course it was not long at all before rearmament became the wonder drug for unemployment. Followed of course by employment with the armed services. Interesting how sometimes problems are just replaced by bigger problems. At ...

Nice brass Prussian belt buckle with leather tab. Tab is well worn but still strong. Buckle shows good detail and excellent condition. Polished somewhere along the way but still very nice.

Absolutely terrific colonial American corkscrew. Business end is very magnetic hand forged iron. In general design it is crude but it has some very attractive ridges and rings and a nice central bulge which is very nicely beveled. Certainly made by a blacksmith with some skill. The handle is hollowed bone with some groove work on the sides and to a lesser degree in the center. A minor degree of chipping on the edges but nothing disfiguring or even unexpected in a piece with this age. One side ha...

Very cool door sign from an airfield commander's office door in a German used French airfield. This was a vet pickup from Wilmington Delaware. Reads 'FLIEGERDIVISIONS KOMMANDEUR'. In this business we never buy the story but regardless this is a very cool sign with all the age it should have and is very well done with German style lettering. This came with a Fliegerkarte also recently listed and I do have confidence in the story. A few blisters, stains and creases but still in solid condition and...

Early style panzer EM breast eagle with great tunic removed look. One chip out of eagle's right wing. A lot of original threading remaining. Nice eagle.

Very cool photograph of a truck carrying SS members on parade. Early SA style uniforms with skulls on the cap I would assume to then be LAH members. The truck itself has a banner with the national emblem and SS runes. Also interesting is that just behind the truck in the parade the HJ/DJ boys have to walk. In the background beside the truck is a band with the same SA/SS/LAH uniforms. The truck and the overall picture have the feel of the early rise-to-power parades which, if all went well, ended...
