Nice WWI sawback bayonet, meant for the guy that likes the used look (I do). The sawback is in fine shape but the edge has been heavily sharpened leading to a narrow middle (See photos). These were intended for pioneer use to clear branches etc, but were popular with the men in the trench who needed every edge possible for business. This looks to have been well used during the war. Blade is marked Simson&Co SUHL...

Very nice example of the 1914-1915 Great War medal. Japan's involvement in WWI was minimal, amounting to taking an island colony from Germany, so this is a not too common medal. Nice example in perfect shape except for pinhole in the ribbon that looks to have been caused by the rear attachment end rubbing the back of the ribbon. Really a nice looking medal. The recipient's name is on the rear of the box. We believe the family name is Hirokawa but can't make out the rest. Very nice medal.

Great example of a walnut based P08 Luger magazine. Has the Erfurt Arsenal stamp but it a rare example of an unnumbered magazine. These are very desirable as they are sort of the O-type universal donor of Luger magazines. When one is missing a magazine for a numbered Luger this is the easy answer.

This is a lovely Belgian Cavalry saber. German blade makers were very popular with many different countries at the time and this was most certainly a private purchase. The size is very comparable to the U.S. model 1860 cavalry saber so I would date this right around the mid 19th century. The blade is engraved POUR LE ROI - ET LA PATRIE, French for "For King and Homeland". The lion rampant shown on both the blade engraving and the handle indicate this is Belgian...

Very nice early 1847 pattern Prussian Belt and buckle. This pattern was used through 1895. Attached sixth image shows the reverse with solder points. The buckle is quite attached to the leather so I decided not to remove it for photos. Rare to find with the proper leather belt. There is one scrunched edge on the leather as well as a small square from an old price sticker. Very nice, early belt.

Very interesting WWII Ostland Eisen revenue trade chits. These were used in Germany as well as eastern occupied areas such as Russia, Poland, Western Ukraine and were used as an exchange chit for trading agricultural goods for steel or iron. I do not know the particular details but that is the gist. There a couple of different watermarks and one that was glued on something along the way. They look to be very nonchalantly cut but the basic size is 4x6cm. Very cool looking and interesting pieces.

Very nice RAD belt buckle with leather tab. The front of this aluminum buckle is superb with high relief and virtually no wear. The reverse is nicelt marked with the Assmann A on one side of the shovel and 37 on the other side. The leather tab is correctly marked F.W. ASSMANN & SOHNE LUDENSCHEID and dated 1937. The tab does show some age wear but is in generally nice condition with no real damage and nice clear maker mark. Very nice buckle.

Interesting army officer dagger from East Germany. Mint in original issue box with hangers and belt loop. Intriguingly, the warranty is still present offerring 12 month warranty from June 20 1990. The German Democratic Republic closed shop on October 3 1990. I would have had little confidence in this warranty. The serial number 085602 is on the ricasso of the dagger, the warranty and even the box, although a bit faded on box as per last attached image...

Nice pair of black widow Luger grips. Unfortunately someone along the way found the need to carve a "W" on one side. The other side has one small hit (See next to last photo). This is a shame because otherwise these grips are in great shape with no cracking or warping and nice, unworn checking. I hope "W" feels bad for what he did.

Very nice named Purple Heart. I believe Ralph R Reeser was wounded in WWI but this is a later reissue of his medal, probably around WWII. Nice example.

Very attractive sukashi openwork tsuba. At almost exactly 8cm in diamter it is a nice large katana sized piece. Motif features a small tea house subtly located in the bottom corner and generously surrounded by paulownia branches towards the bottom and maple branches towards the top. The design effectively presents the traditional idea that the tea house should be subordinated to nature, fitting in with natural surroundings instead of dominating its environment...

Very cool little stickpin and tinnie set. The stickpin sows the City of Danzig crest over a swaz. This probably from before the begginning of the war when patriotic fervor was hgih regarding the return of Danzig (Now Gdansk) to Germany. Once the war started Danzig dad basically lose its importance. The tinnie is from the WHW series featuring different cities. Shows an embroidered Danzig crest with a crimped on WHW metal frame. Nice little set that displays well together.
