Superb heer belt buckle with leather tab. Tab is marked H. AURICH DRESDEN 1942 and is in great condition with soft, healthy leather. As seen in the photos there are two linear scrapes on the front of the tab and a slightly discolored corner on the reverse; Looks like it got a small oil stain. Buckle has the stylized HA logo on the reverse just to the left of the swaz but it is very light and barely shows in my last photograph. But it is there...

Very cool photo of a German officer taking shooting practice with his Luger. Of course the Luger is a classic firearm and all of the many collectors like to have a photo or two displayed with their collection. That makes such photos very hard to find, but this is a really nice, clear image. Why is that NCO's of just about every nation's army in the last 300 years like to watch their CO take shooting practice. You can almost hear him saying "Excellent shot sir...Good shot sir..."...

Here is a truly fascinating piece with a great look to it. Four place round ball bullet mold. The mold portion is brass. The smallest ball mold diameter is about 7mm and the largest is about 13mm. The swiveling arms are iron and the handles are wood. The brass portion has written on the side FAI PAR COUPIL A BONNETABLE. The design is simple but when the handles are swiveled out and squeezed it is clear that plenty of pressure can be brought to bear...

This is an extremely interesting badge from the February 25 1934 swearing of the oath of allegiance to Adolf Hitler. It was a day of infamy when the Wehrmacht took such an oath and paved the way for the crimes that were to follow and be condoned and even aided by the German army. The event for which this badge was issued was a similar event in which around a million party members made a similar oath. Perhaps it seemed like a good idea at the time...

Very attractive photograph of an army panzer officer. Good quality photo, probably taken in a studio as it looks professional and is an unusual size at about 8x7.5cm. This officer is nicely decorated with what looks to be a silver panzer assault badge, wound badge, Iron Cross 2nd class ribbon and an Iron Cross 1st class. That particular combination of medals usually did not come cheaply. Reverse is dated 1943 and has the fellow's name which I can't quite make out...

I know this item is not cheap but I had to pay a lot to get it and would like to share with my regulars. This bronze armored assault badge, maker marked by Wiedmann, has every bit of the bronze finish applied when it was first manufactured. I usually don't like to estimate finish percentages but 100% is an easy one to guesstimate. The bubbling up from below is always a good sign as this process takes time but this example is sort of freakish...

Very attractive Imperial German navy photo album. Reddish brown color with very nice flag artwork on the cover with the words "Kriegs Erinnerungen" or "War Memories". Unfortunately the album is empty but the first page has the original owner's name "Steinbach" and the years 1914 1915 and 1916. The rest I can not make out and it looks like the location was intentionally erased. This writing is shown on the last attached image. The rest of the 46 pages look the same front and back for a total of 9...

Very nice 1st Class 1939 Iron Cross. Proper construction for the hallmark 65 which indicates this was made by the firm Klein & Quenzer A.G. Idar Oberstein. The cross itself is in superb condition throughout. The leatherette covered case shows the usual shelf wear as per attached images. The snap works fine but the box is a little tight and needs to be held open. I assume this is from the fabric at the hinge area shrinking a bit. Not a big deal at any rate. Great looking medal.

Very interesting badge. The Hungarian Combat Leadership badge was awarded to officer's who led a unit of up to regiment strength in live combat. This is an award that carried a solid level of prestige. This badge was active from 1922 to 1944 so obviously most were awarded for WWII service. I am not sure if this would have been awarded for previous WWI service but certainly a good decoration either way. Good looking award with attractive enamel work.

Very nice example of a cool badge. These L/64 marked Assmann paratrooper badges were made in 1944 through early 1945. This one is a textbook example with the characteristic thin eagle on the front. The reverse shows the correct marking on the back of the eagle, rivet placements and four circular clamp indentations. the reverse right rivet has the proper "1" just above. Pin, hinge and hook assembly are all textbook correct. Just a nice, solid example of what I consider a really cool badge.

Very cool WWII era Type 92 (T-92) Machine Gun Scope. Optics are nice and clear with grid showing. Good looking piece throughout with the correct markings. Also includes the original carrying case with unbroken strap and leather tab. Scope fits nice and snug into slide groove in case. Great piece throughout.

Very cool plaque given "To General Harold K. Johnson, Chief of Staff United States Army from 1st Air Cavalry Division Artillery On The Occasion of Christmas 1965". Nice central metal map of Vietnam. 11 DI crests around the border are all in nice shape except one which is missing one post causing it to swivel which is sort of nice because it shows how they were mounted; Mainly direct mounted instead of having the posts broken off and the crest glued to the wood. I know some of these crests are ra...

Very interesting travel and tourism book for Germany for the 1935 year produced by the German America Line of cruise ships. Unfortunately it starts at page 19 so the beginning is a casualty of time. What remains is a fascinating write up of tourism points of interest in Germany, many period advertisements etc. The advertisements are very cool and offer a feel for prewar Germany. The inside of the rear cover is a large ad for the 1936 Olympics which was obviously a big deal for Germany. Also a ni...

After the first disastrous winter on the Eastern Front the Germans realized that had to quickly develop better cold weather gear. This style of fur lined cap was popular with German soldiers in Russia. This has field grey wool construction with mottled rabbit fur lining. The front, ear flaps and rear neck all can fold down and can be held in place with the string tie. I am not going to go through the process of untying and retying but the next to last photo can offer an idea of what this looks l...
