The Pair
Very cool pair of Marx Toys helmets. These are doughboy style but WWII vintage. These are red and I think there is a silver version also. Terrific condition when one looks at what is usually offered for sale. These were toys in every sense of the word and after spending years battling in neighborhood backyards the condition usually suffers significantly. These have good shape and excellent remaining paint. The first one shown in detail is complete with a nice strong decal...

Sold, Thank You
It is a shame that this looks to have had a sloppy repair because it is a nice Infantry Assault Badge with just the prettiest golden bronze finish. I really like these distinctive ball hinges so these Scholze badges are a personal favorite...

Very nice four place ribbon bar. Obviously the value on this piece is the fourth ribbon which is for the NSDAP long service medal. The other three ribbons are 1914 Iron Cross, WWII War Merit and the Hindenburg Cross for WWI veterans. It is fun to theorize on who would have a particular combination of medals. With the 1914 EKII this fellow was probably a solid WWI veteran who apparantly then was an earlier NSDAP member to have gotten the NSDAP long service...

This set of three hand made pins is really lovely. These were made to celebrate the victory of WWI. The two smaller pins are made for button holes and show Belgian colors and motif. Belgium, of course, was highly publicized as being victims of aggression for propaganda purposes. The first is actually embroidered with a lion rampant and must have required a lot of work. The button backing reads MODE DE PARIS...

Very nice WWII Purple Heart medal with extras as shows. The ribbon bar has a plastic cover. the good conduct medal and ribbon bar came with so will go with. The pin is from a private company the veteran must have worked for. Again, it was with the group so it stays with the group. Nice little set from a veteran estate in Wilmington Delaware.

Very nice Krim shield. Prestigious combat award worn on upper sleeve for veterans of this campaign meeting certain criteria. Increasingly harder to find good examples.

Nice informative book on the classic Me109 fighter. Lots of good text suitable for beginner or experienced historians. While it was eclipsed during the war by other fighters the 109 probably remains the most iconic single engine aircraft of the war. Used condition with worn dust jacket.

Very nice little Imperial album sized for postcards. The cover is nice and clean but is made of a sort of corrugated craft paper so there is some edge wear. Really in great condition for not being real solidly built. There are 25 pages which can hold one card front and back. The last two attached images show the damaged pages that I was able to find. A nice little album.

EM NCO breast eagle with a great look. Some stitching thread remains along the border. The patch itself is in fine shape except for one tiny pull on the eagle's left wing (Viewer's right) which is very minor and can be seen in the first attached image. I love these tunic removed pieces and will take this any day over a factory roll example. Great front line look.

Very nice set of Russian navy dagger hangers. I do believe these are WWII. If they are later it is not by much and I have these priced low regardless. Condition is terrific with gold wash on all metal fittings showing the most minimal of aging. Fittings are the same on both except for the swivel hook correctly present on the smaller strap. The buckles, modeled very closely on their German counterparts have anchors instead of lions (Who ever saw a lion swimming anyway?)...

Nice naval stickpin. Nicely detailed life preserver with a red cockade in the center. An gold washed anchor is hanging from this with the whole rig mounted on a stickpin. I think this looks German but maybe wrong (Please let me know). Nicely detailed nautical piece.

Very nice Der Stahlhelm button. Condition is great with perfect finish to front. Wording around the shank on the reverse is: Wirtsch: A. St. D Bundesleitung Ges Gesch. The second image is straight on with the flash to show the lettering. The last image is a better representation of the actual tone and color. The veteran groups were often disaffected x-soldiers who were called upon to provide pre-organized muscle for various political factions who often settled their differences on the streets...

Armored assault badge by EWE. This is a very scarce and unknown maker who seemed to be working out of Austria. Unfortunately the pin and the hook are missing while the pin hinge remains in place. I almost suspect that the GI souvenir hunter ripped it right off of some poor guys uniform without spending the time to unhook it. The front shows a white mark strangely located right on the eagle's crotch. That could probably be cleaned up easily but repairing the pin would need the help of someone who...

Unique, hand made CBI - China Burma India - pillow case. Brown silk base embroidered "TO MOTHER" and 1945. The bullion stitching is very nice on this but as it is hand made there are some loose threads along the edges. Nothing is coming undone; It just looks like this was made not so tightly. The fabric is a warm brown silky material that was very frustrating to photograph either with or without a flash. It is a good bit darker then it looks in the photographs but the three red fields at the bot...

Very cool tortoise shell style Bakelite goggles. Shown here with my personal assistant Betty who hasn't complained about anything in years. I have seen many various ages assigned to these but I think they are 19040's to early 1950's but are currently very much in fashion with "steampunk" style. I have also seen these advertised as motorcycle and aviation goggles which may very well be accurate as there was not a well entrenched eye wear industry for those fields but I think the intended use is a...

Very nice Bundeswehr A-frame. This is a very good representation of the war time product. Straps match and are riveted in place the same but one is dated 1953 and the other 1963. I imagine some reenactors who don't want to spend close to $1000 and use a WWII example would like a real one instead of a reproduction made in some southeast third world country. Besides the dates on the straps there is one mark that reads P-Bln (An ormored battalion of some unit maybe?) and another rectangular stamp t...

Interesting Flag Signal Instructor. Sliding dial shows different flag configurations for different letters in US Army and Navy semaphore code. Patent information from Great Britain and United States are on the sides but the US side does have some small flaking (See photo). The reverse shows International Morse code with one flag or lantern with some further instructions on semaphore code on the bottom. Communications have become increasingly important with armies and methods of communication are...
