RAD athltic sport shirt with scarcer smaller patch. Very clean example in a large size. the size tag on reverse collar is unfortunately gone except for one remaining thread. There is also one very small hole about 2.5 inches below and to the right of the RAD patch. This particular short is featured on page 542, volume 2 of Robert Newbrough's excellent book set Sports and the Third Reich, History, Uniforms, Insignia and Awards. Also there is the added bonus that this shirt also is the large feat...

Nice steel army belt buckle and tab from a maker not often found. I have always liked this maker logo as it is crisp and interesting. MSS 40 with the letters in a shield are the letters and 40 (For 1940 manufacture) to the right of that. MSS Stands for Math. Salcher & Sohne Jablunkau. The leather tab has an oval maker logo with this firm's name and the same date 1940 in the center. The leather is soft, healthy and undamaged with a nice rich brown color. Stitching is likewise in great shape. All ...

Nice, solid steel beaded Luftschutz helmet. I use a heavy flash to make all negatives show clearly. the first attached image (No flash) is most accurate to appearance in ambient lighting. These heavier examples are generally associated with more front line use that the usual gladiator style. This one has all original finish and the decal is in absolutely great shape. There is significant wear and oxidation to the crown, right where front line fellows would flip them over to sit on. Other typical...

Superb 50 x 85 cm WWII German battle flag. This is the smallest size and perfect for display. Because these are the ultimate display size they tend to not often come available so it is nice to see such a solid example. Crisp, clean and no holes. The only condition issue is a pulled thread through the center disc which can be seen on the final image. Otherwise perfect example of a desirable flag.

Very nice aluminum DAF belt buckle marked M4/44 for the firm Paul Cramer & Co, Lüdenscheid. Front of the buckle shows most factory finish with only a few nicks to the edge. The belt is decently worn and the inner tongue stitching is mostly undone but at the list price the leather is basically free. Nice belt buckle.

Very nice pair of RAD athletic shorts featured in published reference book. Inside is sewn a name tag with the fellow's name, rank and unit: Arbeitsmann Rodel K. 2/230 . In the area of the name tag there is also some reinforcing stitching to the hem. On the rear is stamped 230 RADBAF ADGauXXIII, 36 III. These shorts are featured with four photographs on page 545, Volume 2 of Robert Newbrough's excellent book set Sports and the Third Reich, History, Uniforms, In signia and Awards. This is a terri...

Very nice Alcoso lion head army sword with unit engraved blade. The Alcoso logo is under the langet so I can not photograph but it is the first logo with just the letters ACS spread around the scales and no 'Solingen'. The very nicely done engraving reads Reiter Regiment No 3. This cavalry unit was disbanded just before the start of the war (Summer 1939) and used to form six different reconnaissance battalions. This would make the use of the first Alcoso logo appropriate. Blade is just short of ...

Very cool Fascist Italian stickpin celebrating the victory in Ethiopia. On a circular about 28mm wide is shown Africa with a Roman legionary standard stuck in about the location of Ethiopia. Above is the slogan Noi Tireremo Diritto or "We will forge ahead" which was also a song released during the Ethiopian War 1935-1936 which celebrated the Fascist military campaigns and its resistance to League of Nations sanctions. Small pin with some interesting history behind it.

Very interesting set of 8 glass glass slides with period labels. There is some damage but most are still quite usable. The first attached image shows the grouping with the box in which I received them. The box metal reinforced corners to protect the slides, two of which are missing from the inside portion of the box. The second image is a slide showing U9 returning to port from an apparently successful voyage. Missing material from bottom left corner and a light crack above that. The next slide ...

Lovely Imperial German Fire Official sword by Eickhorn. The hilt is a lovely silvered lion head example by Eickhorn which shows deep and detailed casting with extra hand tooling through the lion's mane. Everything is done deluxe from the red gemstone eyes, quality fish skin grip with triple twisted wire wrap. The knuckle P-guard shows especially attractive oak leaves and acorns foliage which stands out vibrantly as it is cast with extra depth. The oak tree of course was considered a strong tree ...

This is a really nice WWI postcard. It is a sepia image with a light exposure but very interesting when one gives it a moment. Nine fellows in field uniforms with a belt fed machine gun. One is wearing a holster and one holding a grenade but the trench setting is interesting. They look to be congregating in front of an entrance to the trench which is heavily sandbagged on top. There is plenty of wood planking underfoot as the trenches did become hopeless quagmires when it rained and wood plankin...

Well, this would have been a terrific pith helmet but it looks like it might have gotten run over by a British tank or at least sat on by a fat sergeant. Whatever the cause might have been the only thing I can do is sell it cheap. Would be relatively presentable on a dummy head that could push it out a bit. Nice insignia and unbroken chinstrap.

Very attractive Art Deco style wall eagle from the Meissen company which is a long standing German porcelain company. Some say it controlled SS Allach but this relationship is hazy. However, Prof. Theodor Kärner who was one of the most prestigious porcelain artists in Germany worked for both companies so there was some overlap for sure. This eagle is a big sturdy thing reminiscent of German train eagles of the time (Relatively common in the collector market) but is the only such example I have ...

Interesting wooden portable seat manufactured for the 1939 World's Fair in New York. It provided the purchaser a seat to rest upon as well as being usable as a walking cane when folded up. Very gentle age use but nice strong label and still folds up nicely and remains sturdy. 28 inches tall while opened with a seat height of 19. Great collectors item.

1943 Dated Wehrpass. This one is very clean and in great condition with civilian photo of the fellow in question. He is older having been born in 1895 and it does say he served in the 256th Infantry Regiment from 1915 to 1916. There are a couple of stamps from the local recruitment board but not much else. Hopefully he was able to sit out the end of WWII but being a veteran of 50 years old would have made him prime Volkssturm material. At any rate, a very clean Wehrpass in great shape for someon...
