Very nice Deutscher Turnerbund belt buckle. This organization was the German Athletic Association and had many sports under its jurisdiction. The belt buckle design is 4 "f"s at right angles. These stand for the the organization motto Frisch, Froh, Fromm and Frei whic translates to Fresh, Happy, Pious and Free. This buckle is a high quality brass example. Two solder points hold the silvered device in place. the device is a fancier example then usual with ribbed "F"s. very nice overall look and g...

Very interesting Imperial German dog tag. This is the second of 2 that I recently found and both look to be from the same area and in the same unit. Lovely script engraving that I have not seen before. All I have previously seen are block letter typed. Looks like Johannes Gerhhardt from a Bremen address. DOB is 15.5.72. Ersatz battalion Ldw J R 72 Gen H No 2837. Really a nice, unique piece. If this fellow was going to war in 1914 he would have been 38 so I am assuming he may have had money for a...

This is a reproduction Waffen SS overseas cap meant for display, educational or even reenactment use. It is nothing that would fool a knowledgeable collector but not everyone can afford the real thing for display purposes. Cloth shell looks believable with SS bevo skull, a relatively inaccurate SS style eagle and white infantry piping. The inside has a large and elaborate stamp saying something about SS service caps and NSDAP contract information. Also inside are size and year markings: 58 and 1...

Very interesting medal and a good display of Spanish colors. Front has, under a gold crown, an enamel roundel with the lettering ENSENANZA MILITAR with the bust of a Spartan warrior. This is on a very three dimensional ribbon which has about 3/4 inch depth with ends of nice, high quality bullion. Reverse has a nice pinback assembly. All in overall excellent condition as per photos. This comes with a 4 1/2 x 3 1/4 inch photo of a Spanish soldier with the medal being worn. This photograph does hav...

Very nice early quality war merit cross first class without swords. Nice example without swords. This is a far scarcer award then with swords. Back marked 1 for Deschler. High quality medal all around.

Really a very nice funeral sash in great condition. Reads "Die Kamraden aus Tirol" or "The comrades from the Tirol". The ownership of the Tyrol area has often been disputed between Germany and Italy and is a beautiful, mountainous Alpine area giving this sash a likely mountain troop connection. There are two tiny nips on one of the sewn on swazs. Each end has a nice gold fringe. The lettering on these are typically screen printed but this lettering has some depth to it and really looks embroider...

Bizarre and very cool tinnie by Paulmann & Crone. Deutsch-Englische Frontkampfer Treffen Sept 1935. I have looked into this and it does seem that a small delegation of British went to Germany to check on how German veteran groups were structured and handled. This may or may not have been in conjunction with the rally that would have been held at about that time. Very cool tinnie that I have never seen nor heard of before I found this one. Nice solid metal construction 38mm.

This is a second Waffen SS 1944 Der Soldatenfreund. These are hard to find and this actually came from the same place as the other I have listed. These were pocket handbooks and are always well worn when found as they were cheaply made and likely spent time in the bottom of rucksacks on the Eastern front. Pages are delicate as again, they were not made with the best of materials. The back page is loose as is the other example I have listed. The front part is a personal journal. This fellow was n...

Cool set of Vietnam era handcuffs. A friend bought these from the veteran. There is a bit of surface oxidation in spots but would clean up quickly with a spot of oil. Key does work fine on both sides. Original leather belt holder and two of the fellow's name tags. Nice heavy duty set.

Beautiful cased table medal of Count Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf dated 1914-1915. Wonderfully depicted bronze by the Austrian artist Arnold Hartig. The obverse shows Count Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf in profile with medals and uniform coat. Reverse shows Hötzendorf in medieval armor and long sword preparing to fend off an impressive dragon. This is probably reference to his defense of Austria and the Russian offensive of 1914. Leading up to the war he was a significant military reformist and ...

Powerful plaque depicting angels casting out a German soldier from the city of Reims as the cathedral burns in the distance and the French civilians lie on the ground. The burning of this cathedral was one of the major propaganda points for the French during WWI. The plaque is in wonderful shape. The box is intact and the pressure fit button works. There is damage to the lid lining as per last photo and a little bit in the front corners. The leatherette cover shows expected wear with a little bi...

Very cool Waffen SS soldier's handbook. The first page has a slightly blurred stamp indicating it is from office of Germanizing Russia (DDR Deutsctum im Rusland). The first part of the book is a daily journal of which there are some entries (A couple more then shown in the attached photos). Interestingly the second 4 in 1944 is crossed out in each and replaced with a 5 so this journal is actually for 1945. The entries stop after a few pages. There are many reasons why a soldier might stop writin...

On Hold
Fresh out of the woodwork Gotz von Berlichingen cufftitle. Great example. One wear spot on the far left and one light stain on the lettering. Slightly rumpled but absolutely real. This was one of the divisions in place just in time for the Normandy invasion and subsequent battles. Great piece.

Nice, original Silver Star in case. Both WWII vintage. The case does show good solid wear but still functions just fine. Nice medal awarded for gallantry in action.
