Nice 2nd model lftwaffe dagger. No make mark but in solid condition and priced right. Blade is in terrific condition. Handle has nice deep orange color. One of the braided handle wires has a break in one thread. This can be seen in the photo closeup and even when one is looking for it this is not a big deal. Metal fittings are aged as shown in photos. Knot has significant age wear as shown in photo. The acorn and thread are in good shape but cord is well worn...

Very nice enameled stickpin representing the famous Pour Le Merite medal. The Pour Le Merite was, despite its French name, Germany's highest award for military valor during WWI. Although replaced during WWII with the Knights Cross, many winners of the Blue Max from WWI were still authorized to wear this award during WWII. There are many photographs of Erwin Rommel showing him wearing his Knights Cross with his Blue Max clunking away behind it...

Very interesting scrimshaw whale tooth. This example has a fascinating look to it. This must have been a very old whale as there are many, thick crystalline calcium deposits and even a gap between deposits. I have seen a lot of whale teeth but nothing quite like this. It measures a bit under 6 inches long but is a fat brute at over 3 inches wide, a circumference of over 8 inches and weighing over 20 ounces...

Interesting SS propaganda leaflet or booklet. 14 pages in rather rough shape and mostly detached; Priced accordingly. Although undated it seems to be from that early to mid war period where the German hierarchy was hoping against hope that the British would just come to their senses and realize that Germany was fighting to save Europe and that the only hope the British had of maintaining their empire was to call a truce with Germany. Interestingly enough, this last bit had some truth behind it...

Very interesting book. 1939 dated, 31 page book on the history and organization of the SS. This must have been for official purposes because the organization of the SS was intentionally vague and confusing. This was intentionally done so that no one felt responsible for their actions, nor did they even know who might be responsible. Clever in a sinister way. Rather in depth booklet has many subsections covering everything from Totenkampfverbade to Sichherheinstdienst to Verfugungstruppen...

Interesting Bavarian shako with a very attractive horse hair plume. I am not sure of the exact use or designation of this piece but it is definitely an old example. Considering the age the plume is in great shape (See images). Nicely detailed brass Bavarian plate on the front. Officer's metal scale chin strap with Bavarian style lion rivets. There is one officer's type cockade on the wearer's left...

Respectable SD heer helmet. Period overcoat of sand grit paint. One of those "been there" pieces with solid aging and a field look to it. Respectable decal with aging in line with the rest of the helmet. Also a couple of white flecks of paint from an uncareful previous owner; Could be nicked off easily but I don't touch anything. Chinstrap is a little stiff but could be conditioned. Liner is in good shape with a nice dark brown toning. I find no maker marks or lot number; Either it was unmarked ...

Ammo can with splinter camouflage pattern and paratrooper badge. I am most certain this is a post war paint job but it is well done and very cool. "Fallschimjager Rgt Nr 6 - Carentan". I am not much of an equipment guy but I think this can is for something big like a machine gun. 1940 dated and wafenampt. This is a really cool item for display.

Terrific M43 field cap. This luftwaffe example is perfect except for evidence that the sweat band at some point in its existence actually soaked up some sweat. Very easy to write a description on something that doesn't have anything wrong with it.

This is a very interesting item with a fair amunt of character. The book is titles "Die Wehrmacht Das Buch des Krieges 1940/41". It is a typical German propaganda book with lots of good photos and text and goes into fairly good depth on the war in France, air war against the British, the Balkan campaigns and the invasion of Russia. The book becomes interesting when the cover is opened and we find the book was presented to SS Funker (Radioman) Dietrich Eckern. Basically reading "Dedicated on the ...

Nice SA dagger produced during the transitional period and having both the Eickhorn squirrel logo and the code RZM M 7/66 1939. Keeping in mind that I use heavy flashes in my photography and that I don't clean anything, the pictures will show a dagger in excellent shape. Blade has the usual runner marks and a touch of dried cosmoline right against the crossguard. Motto has very solid darkening remaining and cross grain is evident throughout the dagger. Plated fittings are in great shape and show...
