Mirax Unistream chemical can. Neat piece is marked for US Army Air Corps which dates it to WWII. I have no idea what this product was but has the look of some sort of flight necessity. The amount of different "stuff" needed in some of those bombers was prodigious. Good piece to add to a flight related collection.

Very nice webbed K98 bayonet frog for tropical use. Condition is just about perfect with pigskin leather tab under the restraining strap to prevent rubbing. These never held maker marks well but there is just a ghost of a maker mark on the reverse (See last photo). Tropical gear is getting difficult to find.

Minty and unissued awards are always nice but sometimes a piece like this can really tell us a story. This is an Iron Cross First Class that is a field upgrade from a second class. This is a known practice and this one is particularly nice as the solder job clearly has age appropriate to the time in which this would have been done. The suspension ring on the top has been removed and smoothed off as well...

Very cool set of German motorcycle goggles. I have seen loose goggles before but never with the original pouch. Marked BWZ 40 (1940), the pouch has a pocket on each side and a sewn on soft cloth for cleaning on each side. There is a set of darkened goggles and a set of clear goggles. This is from a veteran estate and the set comes with the label from when they were sent home from Lt. Hoose. It does say there are two pairs of each while I only received one pair of each but such is life...

Japanese Type 95 Sight, used on the famous Aichi D3A “VAL” Dive Bomber. Mounted on the front of the aircraft, just forward of the cockpit windscreen, and used to line up the target for dive-bombing. Another version of the Type-95 sight was manufactured with a cross hair reticule for use as a machine gun sight on fighter aircraft. A groove inside the front of the tube allowed the cross hair reticule to be mounted when the sight was used as a machine gun sight...

Interesting customs visor cap. The cord is not present but from the shape and "feel" of the cap I suspect this was removed back then and the fellow was going for the crusher cap look. The customs eagle with upturned wings is a desirable piece of insignia on its own. There is some mothing and damage to lining on the front (See photos) but an interesting cap priced accordingly.

Gorgeous First Class war merit cross in box. Early quality tombac example with nice finish to front that really catches light and shows itself well. Maker marked 62 which matches the maker name on the case Kerbach & Oesterhelt Dresden A1. Box is generally in very good condition with no damage. The War Merit cross embossed relief on the top is a little smoothed off, otherwise a very nice box. This medal really gives a good idea of what they looked like at the time when glittery and shiny...

This is just a great item. SS visor cap eagle. Properly maker marked for Deschler & Sohn with RZM on the left side (Reverse of the right wing) and M1/52 on the reverse of the left wing, with the M over the 1/52. The markings on this side are difficult to pick up with the camera but they are there and correct. There is a bit of wear on the back edge of the eagle's left wing but really not bad. Really a good example of a scarce and sought after bird.

Nice grouping of three Pakistan medals supposed to have been from one person. The 1947 Pakistan Independence Medal is marked 1222821 GNR MOHD GUL R.P.A. indicating this fellow was a gunner in the Royal Pakistan Artillery. The other two medals have the Kashmir 1948 bar and the Dir-Bajaur 1960-62 bar. Nice little set if you like odd foreign medals.

Very nice Eskimo carved billiken. I believe this is walrus ivory. The label is a bit rumpled and difficult to photograph but it reads "Genuine Ivory, Eskimo Made" and the center shows a smiling Eskimo fellow. 6.5cm tall. Ships only to US minus California.

Very nice screw back Iron Cross 1st Class. L/52indicates manufacture by Carl Friedrich Zimmermann in Pforzheim. Condition is very nice throughout with pleasant, uncleaned patina. Spike on top arm of cross is meant to keep the medal from spinning on uniform. Good looking medal.

Porcelain propaganda plate made by Rhenania Duisdorf. Gold leaf transfer reads "Andenken aus Deutschland 1938 Heil Hitler" or "Souvenirs from Germany 1938 Heil Hitler". There is some gentle wear to the gold leaf but it remains quite strong. The three designs around the border have a subtle geometric fish scale pattern indicating a good degree of quality in workmanship. Backmarked Rhenania Duisdorf. Just under 20cm diameter. No chips or cracks...

Nice political collar tab for the rank of Kreis Hauptgemeinschaftsleiter. The tab looks great from the front showing gentle age wear. The lightly toned white piping and the gold striping are nicely applied. The brown velvet is is soft and smooth. The reverse shows a very well made collar tab with all proper material and construction. The only problem I find is that the posts for the eagle's left week and the swaz are broken off...

Superb single collar tab for the rank of Kreis Bereichsleiter. This is obviously a very high rank and a hard tab to find. Condition is perfect with no damage or excess wear. The white piping is clean and crisp, the brown velvet is soft and smooth and the buckram backing is undamaged except where the devices necessarily poke through. The posts for the eagle and the oak leaves are very nicely sunk in. Top notch example.

Interesting ID not very commonly found. This is ID card for an air raid warden. The town is Bruchhausen on the western side of Germany. In 2011 it had a population of under 1000. Issued in January of 1943 which is probably about when air raid wardens really became necessary. These were important people in the civil community during war time and even had special plaques to put on their front doors so they could be found easily. The plaques are far more common then the ID and this would be probabl...
