Bulgarian steel combat helmet with a good front line look but still in nice, clean condition. Very nice liner but end of chinstrap is broken off. Bulgaria like many of the other smaller eastern Balkan and Baltic countries were swept along with the war. While the fighting men were strong and brave enough they were let down by weak leadership and poorly equipped. When the Germans went through they were swept along on the anti-Communist crusade...

It is a shame that this looks to have had a sloppy repair because it is a nice Infantry Assault Badge with just the prettiest golden bronze finish. I really like these distinctive ball hinges so these Scholze badges are a personal favorite...

Nice Kriegsmarine Soldatenfreund from 1943. The soldatenfreund was a small handbook (About 13x8cm) issued for each year and designed to fit in one's pocket for quick access. There is a first page for the owner's personal information and in the back are pages for a daily log or journal. Before that are 21 pages of period advertisements which are actually very interesting to look through...

Very nice four place ribbon bar. Obviously the value on this piece is the fourth ribbon which is for the NSDAP long service medal. The other three ribbons are 1914 Iron Cross, WWII War Merit and the Hindenburg Cross for WWI veterans. It is fun to theorize on who would have a particular combination of medals. With the 1914 EKII this fellow was probably a solid WWI veteran who apparantly then was an earlier NSDAP member to have gotten the NSDAP long service...

Very nice personalized piece. Four metal clip fittings with watch clip are fixed to an eastern front ribbon. I am assuming the fittings are not silver as I see no hallmarks. The larger clip has very stylized initials that I can't quite make out but the fellow's name is engraved on the back: Hubert s/L Karl. The Eastern Front medal was awarded for the first difficult winter on the Russian Front...

Nice example of the famous Eastern Front Medal. This medal is a collecting favorite with a strong looking eagle, helmet and grenade. It was given to veterans of the first difficult winter on the Russian Front and was worn by recipients with a great deal of pride. Because one of the criteria that would make a soldier eligible was the loss of a limb to frostbite, combined with the innate cynicism of soldiers in any army, it was nicknamed the "Frozen Flesh Medal". This is a solid example...

This set of three hand made pins is really lovely. These were made to celebrate the victory of WWI. The two smaller pins are made for button holes and show Belgian colors and motif. Belgium, of course, was highly publicized as being victims of aggression for propaganda purposes. The first is actually embroidered with a lion rampant and must have required a lot of work. The button backing reads MODE DE PARIS...

Very nice WWII Purple Heart medal with extras as shows. The ribbon bar has a plastic cover. the good conduct medal and ribbon bar came with so will go with. The pin is from a private company the veteran must have worked for. Again, it was with the group so it stays with the group. Nice little set from a veteran estate in Wilmington Delaware.

This is just a shocking atlas and, in my opinion, a significantly important account of one of the most advanced military minds of mankind. Dated 1955 and made by the Department of Military Art and Engineering United States Military Academy West Point, New York. Made to accompany Napoleon as a General by Count Yorck Von Wartenburg and edited by Vincent J...

Nice informative book on the classic Me109 fighter. Lots of good text suitable for beginner or experienced historians. While it was eclipsed during the war by other fighters the 109 probably remains the most iconic single engine aircraft of the war. Used condition with worn dust jacket.

Very nice little Imperial album sized for postcards. The cover is nice and clean but is made of a sort of corrugated craft paper so there is some edge wear. Really in great condition for not being real solidly built. There are 25 pages which can hold one card front and back. The last two attached images show the damaged pages that I was able to find. A nice little album.

Hitler's Luftwaffe by Crescent Books. Cover is a bit rough as per first photo attached, but the inside is pretty clean. This is actually a really nice overall history of the Luftwaffe beginning in 1920. The text is well presented and easy to follow but even better this is supported by innumerable period photographs, diagrams and full color examples of various paint schemes. Really a great reference for one interested in modeling. The last 120 pages are dedicated to detailing each plane individua...

EM NCO breast eagle with a great look. Some stitching thread remains along the border. The patch itself is in fine shape except for one tiny pull on the eagle's left wing (Viewer's right) which is very minor and can be seen in the first attached image. I love these tunic removed pieces and will take this any day over a factory roll example. Great front line look.

Nice photo of either an SS-Obersturmfuhrer or SS-Haupsturmfuhrer shooting a rifle. Of course their is the obligatory NCO and if you listen closely you can almost hear him say "Excellent shot sir.". SS officers, far more then regular army officers, led more by example and had a more personal relationship with their enlisted men. Therefore, in a tight combat situation, it would be very likely that an officer would take up a rifle so this photo is not a stretch by any means. Very nice album removed...
