Beautiful Imperial German Hussar sword. Inset into the grip is the skull and crossed bones representing the elite Hussars. It is often forgotten that before WWI this symbol was the proud symbol of Germany's elite fighting force, namely the heavy cavalry know as Hussars. Detail on this is superb. Handsome, silver lion head handle is really a nice one. Lion's flowing mane trails to the backstrap. Red ruby eyes go very well with the toned silver of the handle...

Fresh from my last visit is this WWII era Japanese red cross medal. Highly patinated and some oxidation, this is an honest medal for someone who likes the "been there" look. Original ribbon has some "stuff" on it that could scrape off but my hard rule is that I do not do anything to my items. Good piece to add to a display.

Second model DRL Badge. Front shows wonderfully with no wear and pleasing toning. Reverse shows a reworked pin and it is priced accordingly. Marked "D.R.G.M. 35269 WERNSTEIN JENA". Despite repair, a very good badge for display as the front is very attractive.

Small size Native American rug. I believe this is Navajo but I am not an expert (Oppinions are most welcome). 14x30 inch (not including fringe) makes it a lovely size for a backdrop in a display. Very pleasing color scheme and good condition. One small area of staining (see photos). This may clean out but I won't try. No damage that I can find. Someone will be happy with this one.

Lion Head officer sword by Eickhorn. Blade has some spotting but not bad. Handle has handsome lion head with ruby eyes and some gilt remaining in recesses. Wire wrap is near perfect with just the slightest looseness on the top two rows, but they are in place. Assembly is nice and tight. Scabbard has one dent and a little oxidation near the throat. One throat screw has cracked head causing minor looseness to the throat insert...

Steel army buckle with maker marked tab. Buckle shows age but still has nice detail. Leather tab is worn but still soft, supple and strong with stitching intact. Maker is hard to read but date is 1940.

Monogrammed German officer sword by Carl Eickhorn. Blade is mint. One small one inch crack on inside of bakelite grip (Not very noticable). Very nice hand tooled eagle and acorn rows on each side of crossguard. Monogrammed "HP". The veteran I bought it from said he purchase this in the late 1940's from a German veteran he befriended named Helmut Pfortner. A nice dovetail Eickhorn sword with a beautiful blade.

Two volume set of books from the 1936 German Olympics. One volume for the summer games and one for the winter games. Both in excellent condition with no missing pages. Very hard to find with intact dustcovers. These do have some minor tears but still in excellent overall shape.
