I am not sure if this falls under the category of "trench art" or if it is more of a war souvenir but it is cool nonetheless. This is a letter opener with a 1914 miniature iron cross riveted on. I am not sure if this is ivory, horn or something else but I don't see any ivory grain. There is a notch to catch and tear the envelope when opening it. Small metal piece on top acts as a paper clip holding a piece of paper so I guess this could also be used as a bookmark. 10cm overall length. Just a cu...

This item is related to one of the saddest chapters in our history and is offered with the thought that preservation and recognition are vital to remembering the past. "Those who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it". There are innumerable fake representations of such armbands but this is guaranteed authentic. Ghetto Gemeinde was the self governing council installed to regulate the day to day life inside of the nazi established ghettos of Poland. Real examples are very hard to find as those w...

Very cool panzer man's drivers license. Issued in 1944 with stamps matching unit designations on the document. Very cool uniform photo. Feels like a fine, rubberized fabric which I guess is meant to make it resistant in field conditions and also allow it to be folded in the fellow's pockets. Really neat late war panzer related item.

Lovely steel Jaeger Zu Pferde pickelhaube. These mounted light infantry were similar to dragoner units and the helmet is patterned after cuirassier spiked helmets. The blued steel is in line with 1915 regulations and this example is made by C.E. Juncker and dated 1916. All metal parts are period and appear to be original to the helmet. Light age wear as shown in attached photographs. I do believe the chinstrap is a reproduction. A lovely helmet for those who like Imperial spiked helmets and a ha...

Nothing fancy about this Japanese map case. Nothing broken and solid stitching. Typical usage wear. About 17cm high.

These ranks were used on garments not usually bearing insignia such as coats, work and drill uniforms and most notably in period images, on flight suits. This is a beautiful (And real) example colored for summer/tropical use. Perfect with no damage save a tiny rub on the felt of the middle "mustache".

Perfectly respectable artillery officer visor cap. I think this is a period an NCO upgrade. One rub near the insignia and one pin hole on the top. Generally solid condition.

Yes, it is a darn shame about the decal hit on the eagle. All I can say is that I didn't do it and that it saddens me also. If everything was perfect, though, we wouldn't have the thrill of the hunt, right? Anyway, the eagle looks gold to me but could be toned army. Have added three closeups of the bird with different lighting with and without flash. Under a loop it does have metallic sparkle. Consistent wear throughout. Chin strap is broken. SE maker mark was Sächsische Emaillier u. Stanzwerke...

Interesting menpo. Below is an old ring mail skirt laced on. It looks like this is the correct configuration and intended use but the skirt has been laced on with a modern shoelace. Apparently a quick repair by previous owner, this is reflected in the price. Overall reasonably solid condition. The gold wire border on the skirt is frayed from age and there menpo itself has a crack on one side (Please see photos attached). A bargain price if you need a filler menpo until a more elaborate example i...

WWII Japanese binoculars. Generally worn condition throughout. Not falling apart but missing some areas of leatherette cover. Good for display if you need a cheap piece. These are not the little ones that seem to be all over the place and measure 18cm in length.

Cool grouping from a member of the 90th Bomb heavy bomber group. This unit fought in Asia and was famously called the "Jolly Rogers" after their skull and crossed bones unit ID. The patch is blue with red stripe with one nip about 11 o'clock and some rub burn around the bottom edge (See photo). Also included is an excellent 11 place miniature medal bar and a unit history from one of the reunions. Very fun set.

Nice pair of deluxe luftwaffe dagger hangers. There is a repair to one strap near the main clip. There is every indication that this repair is period and other then that this is a real nice set. The main clip is the Thor hammer style with RZM U.E. 19 maker mark. All three clips are also DRGM marked. Being a deluxe example, all the hardware is attractively covered with oak leaves. Besides the aforementioned repair, the straps are very nice with virtually no edge wear, unsnagged aluminum wire thre...

Interesting tinnie marking the 60th year of this particular veteran group, likely started by veterans of the Franco-Prussian war. Upper left is a swaz, upper right the typical veteran monument. Center has a lion rampant surrounded by "Krieger Kamerad Schaft Hassia" translating loosely to War Comrade Society. Ribbon below has the dates 1874 1934. Excellent condition with an area of oxidation on upper left of rear. Veterans groups were one thing that Germany had not been short of over the years. N...

Nicely done bone inlay tray. I would think that this is from southeast Asia. Good sized example at 47x33cm. There is a fair amount of surface wear due to age as well as missing inlay here and there. I do not repair items but I would think that the missing inlay could be filled in and of course there are always ways to fix surface wear. The wood is a mystery to me being quite dark and having a grain that looks almost like hairs. Pretty work on this piece and priced quite fairly.

Nice mother's medal from the fascist Italian era. Each bow represents a child. There are 6 bows on this one but it looks like a 7th was at the top but has been lost to time. Slight green tint to rear of ribbon.
