Very interesting book. 1939 dated, 31 page book on the history and organization of the SS. This must have been for official purposes because the organization of the SS was intentionally vague and confusing. This was intentionally done so that no one felt responsible for their actions, nor did they even know who might be responsible. Clever in a sinister way. Rather in depth booklet has many subsections covering everything from Totenkampfverbade to Sichherheinstdienst to Verfugungstruppen...

Interesting Bavarian shako with a very attractive horse hair plume. I am not sure of the exact use or designation of this piece but it is definitely an old example. Considering the age the plume is in great shape (See images). Nicely detailed brass Bavarian plate on the front. Officer's metal scale chin strap with Bavarian style lion rivets. There is one officer's type cockade on the wearer's left...

Very nice 2nd midel luftwaffe dagger. Blade is an absolute perfect screamer by Holler. An unevenness in the photos is just from oil. If every blade was this pretty we would have no problems. Handle is just as pretty as the blade. Nice orange collor with no chips or cracks and a very solid finish wrapped in a perfect spongy wrapped wire. Metal fittings to handle are all very nice as well. I believe the knot is a very accurate fake so please don't assign any value to that...

Respectable SD heer helmet. Period overcoat of sand grit paint. One of those "been there" pieces with solid aging and a field look to it. Respectable decal with aging in line with the rest of the helmet. Also a couple of white flecks of paint from an uncareful previous owner; Could be nicked off easily but I don't touch anything. Chinstrap is a little stiff but could be conditioned. Liner is in good shape with a nice dark brown toning...

Ammo can with splinter camouflage pattern and paratrooper badge. I am most certain this is a post war paint job but it is well done and very cool. "Fallschimjager Rgt Nr 6 - Carentan". I am not much of an equipment guy but I think this can is for something big like a machine gun. 1940 dated and wafenampt. This is a really cool item for display.

Terrific M43 field cap. This luftwaffe example is perfect except for evidence that the sweat band at some point in its existence actually soaked up some sweat. Very easy to write a description on something that doesn't have anything wrong with it.

This is a very interesting item with a fair amunt of character. The book is titles "Die Wehrmacht Das Buch des Krieges 1940/41". It is a typical German propaganda book with lots of good photos and text and goes into fairly good depth on the war in France, air war against the British, the Balkan campaigns and the invasion of Russia. The book becomes interesting when the cover is opened and we find the book was presented to SS Funker (Radioman) Dietrich Eckern...

Nice SA dagger produced during the transitional period and having both the Eickhorn squirrel logo and the code RZM M 7/66 1939. Keeping in mind that I use heavy flashes in my photography and that I don't clean anything, the pictures will show a dagger in excellent shape. Blade has the usual runner marks and a touch of dried cosmoline right against the crossguard. Motto has very solid darkening remaining and cross grain is evident throughout the dagger...

Extremely interesting WWI German steel helmet. Looks to have an Italian liner and chinstrap. Very consistent patina on throughout. Could be visually improved by simply letting some oil soak in but I am a purist and don't even clean my finds. It is impossible to see how the liner and strap system are fixed as it is underneath the metal band and I can't pull on the liner too much; It is simply out of site. The chinstrap is not using the original German chinstrap bolts. The liner is in very solid s...

A very impressive piece. Eagle trophy presentation reads: "Our esteemed company commander SS Haupsturmfuhrer Zahn in memory of the 4th (MG) Company of the 8th SS TK Regiment, Lublin on January 30, 1941". This rank is basically equivalent to a captain which is right in line with being a company commander. Apparantly this fellow was the commander of a machine gun of the 8 SS Totenkopf regiment. While Lublin has terrible memories associated with the war, I would assume that this unit, being a machi...

Even when listing relatively common items I do try to offer choice examples. This Hitler Youth buckle is a real choice example. Nickel finish is just gorgeous. High quality buckle with perfect detail. Contemporary to the transitional period around 1936 this buckle is marked with the Assman logo as well as A&S for Assman and son. Also marked GES GESCH (referring to a patent) as well as the company manufacturing code RZM 17. Some oxidation to the posts and roll bar and a little bit of oxidation bl...

Beautiful example of the Hamburg Field Honor Cross. Very solid finish remaining to the gold swords and wreath. The enamel is complete with only a tiny hairline to the upper arm. This is a very attractive medal and was popular with veterans because it did not require being in any particular veteran group (Which often translated to armed private armies). This medal can often be seen in early SA and SS photographs but was banned in November 1935. Lovely example of an attractive medal.

Very nice officer's visor cap. Sometimes the piping colors drive me a bit nuts but I think this is Transport but possibly Sonderfuhrer. It is a soft, pale blue. At any rate it is an interesting variation. Condition is really top notch. I find one nip just over the eagle and one nip in the velvet band just over the right side slide knot. Then there is a stain on the inside liner. All three of these condition issues are visible in the photos. The negatives being said, this hat is in super shape. V...

We are proud to offer this much sought reference book. W.M. Hawley's 1981 Japanese Swordsmiths Revised is a classic in the industry and an extremely important source of information on tens of thousands of samurai sword makers. Condition is superb with smooth binding and crisp, clean and undamaged pages. There is one depression on the upper spine that is exaggerated in the photo below. I find no other condition issues.
