Very nice silver grade clasp for Transport and Glider squadrons. Fair amount of silver finish throughout. The back hook is a bit bent. The front is missing the eagle attachment but still looks good as below where that should be is an identical eagle. Has anyone ever figured out why they added an eagle attachment over an identical eagle? At any rate, a cool medal priced accordingly.

Nice cased example of War Merit Cross w Swords. Die struck zinc construction typical of late war production. Medal is in very good condition and maker marked "3" for Wilhelm Deumer. The box has an embossed War Merit Cross on the lid and looks good closed. The back leatherette spine is separated. Inside, the cardboard paper trim is lifted in the back left corner (This really could be glued down with decent results) and the silk joiner in the back is ripped a little more then half way...

Fine condition SS marked police officer sword. The SS runes are on the ricasso on the opposite side from the WKC maker mark. This is a large step up from the little proofs often found on the scabbard throat or bottom of guard and suggests a tighter SS connection. Early style matte finish blade has some minor spotting near the handle and around the ricasso markings. The business near the tip in one photograph is just dried oil...

Interesting set of what appears to be 38 various regulation booklets, song books, BDM newsletters, receipts and hand typed letters and one cool looking youth propaganda magazine with a viking ship on the cover, all related to the running of a BDM group. Of special note are the 7 leaflets in the first image titled "Obergaubefehl". Obviously this translates to "The District High Command" for Gau 7 (Nordsee)...

"Remember the Maine" became the battle cry for the United States during the Spanish American war in 1898. Hostilities broke out after the explosion of the Maine in Havana harbor. Apparently the old slogan "Remember the Alamo was deemed to have been successful enough for a retread. This change purse was a product of that time "fad". The buff leather is worn (As buff leather well over 100 years old tends to do) but there are no tears and the leather remains quite soft and pliant despite age...

This sword stand was made by a good friend of mine who is half carpenter and half artist. The listed price is for this particular sword stand. Hand crafted of exotic wood, this stand displays a heavy Japanese influence with a frame highly suggestive of Shinto shrine arches and a hinomaru center. This stand was crafted to hold three swords and has a rear fixture for wall mount as well as a folding easel stand for table top display. It stands about 27.5 inches high when tilted on the easel stand...

This picture frame is just simply gorgeous. Shows the Bavarian crown and motto "IN TREUE FEST" at the top and a general at the bottom with a Blue Max around his neck and treacherous looking lions at his sides. There are draped flags at the top and the bottom. The sides are intricate pillars showing the other German state crests. Images 6-10 show the front and back shots of a crack and two repair jobs...

This was always a personal favorite as far as flags. This flag signified that the qualified harbor pilot was in control of the respective ship. Special harbor pilots were (And I belive the practice is still used) because these pilots knew the obstacles, tides, currents and other details of the particular harbor in question. This is an attractive flag with marine type ties. Original metal grommets in place, one of which is marked with a 3...

These is a neat and and and fairly screams front line combat. From the bullion insignia to the loose overall shape this black piped visor cap certainly has the "been there" look that I prefer over the "pretty" look. The outside is very displayable with no mothing and what I think is a cool look. The cord seems loose but is original material and probably just reflects the way this fellow like to wear it. The inside shows significant age wear. the celluloid diamond is cracked and missing a chunk b...

Défense Passive was the organization by Germans of French personnel to build bomb shelters and other such defensive infrastructure. Most French preferred not to collaborate with the German occupation but I imagine it was sort of hard to refuse to build a shelter on the street that one's family lives on. Interesting piece of occupation related history.

Interesting statue of a WWII German infantryman. Nice, conveniently small size good for desk top display at just over 14cm including the base. Detail is such that it won't win any major sculpture competitions but an interesting addition to a period display nonetheless. Low quality metal is typical of what was being used mid-war for non-military purposes.

Very nice example of the Japanese Red Cross of Merit. This is a truly beautiful medal with very detailed enamel work with no damage. The medal and the ribbon with roset are perfectly placed on a backing of black felt on the frame with which they were presented. The whole framed set comes in the original presentation box. The edge of the frame has just a couple of tiny ticks that really have to be searched for to locate. These are hard to find and would also be very easy to touch up. The box has ...

If you are even remotely interested in Japanese militaria this is an invaluable book to have on your shelf. It is written Japanese but it is quite literally page after page stuffed with well over 1200 quality photographs of the best examples of everything. This book covers quite literally everything imaginable related to the military of Imperial Japan from uniforms and insignia, swords and guns, hats and helmets, propaganda, toys, artillery, currency and on and on. There is a small 8 page Englis...

This is about as good as a collector can hope for in a second class Iron Cross.Beautiful uncleaned look with no damage. Magnetic center core has a perfect halo along the silver border. The ribbon was neatly sewn shuy at the top all those years ago and is perfect with a gentle toning to the white field. The ring is marked GU800. I periodically see rings marked just 800 but it is a real treat to find one with a hallmark as well. If you want just one WWI EKII in your collection this is a prime choi...
