This lovely, unique Civil War relic is out of my collection. Carved by a confedrate veteran in remembrance of the battle of First Bull Run, this pipe has every spare piece of space carved with something clever. The pipe bowl is in the shape of a bull's head with the underlined word "RUN" right between his eyes. Above this is a soaring eagle. Below this word is a southern gentleman leading Abraham Lincoln by a chain. The southerner's name looks to be "Sowarel"; I have no idea who this is and I ma...

Nice SA sport shirt patch. White on green with the group designated as KP. These are fun to collect as they come in various colors and group designations. This one has nice, strong color. There is a stain at about the 10 o'clock position. On the reverse is an RZM tag which is always a nice bonus. The letter "P" in the lower left corner indicates that this patch requires a fairly high level of detail (This scales is an A to Z scale). This is a good time to buy into athletic material as a fine boo...

Terrific set of hangers for a WWII German army dagger. While this is not by any means a rare item, hangers generally saw solid use and had a very weakly applied silver finish. This example is a hard-to-find set in top notch condition. The brocade is crisp and clean and the velvet backing is immaculate with a lovely, smooth pile. The metal fittings still retain a large amount of the original silver frosting which is extremely rare. I am not going to guestimate the percentage of the finish remaini...

Miniature silver Hitler Youth proficiency badge. It is a bit more silver in color then it looks in the photos. Miniature lapel pins like this are a good bit scarcer then the full size version. This example is in excellent condition with only minor signs of usage nd wear (See photos). Maker is quite clear RZM M1/36. Very nice item.

Nice pair of Luftschutz goggles. Very lightweight, almost disposable. Band still has some elasticity. Plastic lenses fold into quarters to go into thick paper sleeve. Black frame is felt of all things. Just a little dirty (I don't clean anything) but excellent shape. Kind of a neat item priced cheap.

Interesting passbook from German occupied Latvia. Booklet is from the GENERALKOMMISAR IN LETTLAND. It appears that he only had assignment stamps. The first is December 16,1940 and the other August 8,1944. The reason is clear when you look at his occupation. He was a technicial at the Libauer Eisenwerke (Ironworks), so the fellow was lucky enough to have one of the most vital jobs in a mid 20th century war until the middle of 1944 when all bets were off. No telling what happened to him after that...

Beautiful Frauenschft wall flag or podium banner for the National Socialist Women's League. At 115cm x 115cm it is a good size and wonderfully made. The gold lettering is intricately woven and all design work is separately sewn. No tears or damage save a few small stains the worst of which are shown in the last three photos; I guess it has to have some signs of age. This one is a real winner.

Documented souvenier from Charles A. Lindbergh's famous solo Transatlantic flight. He is noted as saying that there was a fly in his cabin that kept him company and kept him awake. When he arrived in France's Le Bourget field on May 20, 1927, he captured the fly and had a Parisian craftsman bronze it as a personal souvenier. There is a supporting document file named in the upper left corner "A.P.C. 197" (Alien Property Custodian) 197 hand written over which is "FILE X 1934 X-21171. The header re...

Very nice Civil War cartridge box with both tins. All the straps and button are in fine shape. 1864 type with embossed US on the front. There is a hole on each side of the embossed US. Some units attached plates for the victory parades for uniformity so this is a period alteration. Leather is strongt throughout with only the obligatory surface crackling due to age in just a few spots. Nothing is near breaking or falling off. really a nice specimen priced right.

Respectable early SA dagger by Herder. Some condition issues but still a nice, untouched early example by a top notch maker. Scabbard has one light indentation on the shell, the ball has a tiny hit. Fittings are still in quite nice shape and the included hanger has some leather wear but is still very strong. The hanger clip is marked RZM M5/25. The spring is fine but the head needs to be bent just a little to make it catch completely. I have a no-fix policy that prevents me from doing this but n...

This is a pleasant sake set. Each piece shows a pair of peacocks tucked into a colorful scattering of flowers. There are three cups as four is an unlucky number in Japanese culture. This set is offered just in time to help you fight those cold winter evenings with a bone-warming round of hot sake.

Very cool overseas or side hat, badge and belt buckle combination for a sergeant of the Spanish Blue Division. While Franco managed to hold Spain out of WWII it was allowed for a volunteer division to be sent to the eastern front. While Franco's goal was to avoid plunging Spain into the maelstrom of war, allowing this volunteer division to be formed was more then likely a way to get the hot heads out of the country. At any rate, this is a nice set of scarce items. All original WWII vintage. The ...

Very attractive WWI Masonic medal. Numbered 1894 and named to Bro E.M. Price. Pin catch is maker marked R Gaunt London. The Gaunt firm is well known for quality manufacturing and this medal is no exception. Nice and thick and heavy, this is a solid and well made medal. As with most Masonic items it is covered with symbology that I will not try to decipher. The front has the dates 1914 and 1918 which obviously represent WWI. The pin catch is a little bent and I will leave it as is. Ribbon has som...

Reasonable example of a getting-hard-to-find four pocket luftwaffe tunic. First the negatives: Has an area of mothing on the inside of each fly. Under wearer's left upper pocket there is a repair (Period repair-doesn't glow). Two of the gulls on left tab are missing one prong each. On the brighter side, it is a decent tunic that shows well as none of the damage is visible on the outside when on display. Left sleeve has rank chevrons. All stitching is period done and unmessed with. Good looking l...

I like this tunic as it really tells its own story. It is a brown walking out type tunic. In the close up of the medal bar the pocket flap is pulled up to show the fabric underneath, showing the age toning of the outside of the tunic. The 8 space ribbon bar shows a combination of Imperial and Third Reich medals including army long service, Eastern front 1941 and WWI iron cross with 1939 spange. There are medal loops below the ribbon bar; It looks like an Iron Cross 1st Class is missing but the W...
