These ranks were used on garments not usually bearing insignia such as coats, work and drill uniforms and most notably in period images, on flight suits. This is a beautiful (And real) example colored for summer/tropical use. Perfect with no damage save a tiny rub on the felt of the middle "mustache".

Perfectly respectable artillery officer visor cap. I think this is a period an NCO upgrade. One rub near the insignia and one pin hole on the top. Generally solid condition.

Yes, it is a darn shame about the decal hit on the eagle. All I can say is that I didn't do it and that it saddens me also. If everything was perfect, though, we wouldn't have the thrill of the hunt, right? Anyway, the eagle looks gold to me but could be toned army. Have added three closeups of the bird with different lighting with and without flash. Under a loop it does have metallic sparkle. Consistent wear throughout. Chin strap is broken. SE maker mark was Sächsische Emaillier u...

Interesting menpo. Below is an old ring mail skirt laced on. It looks like this is the correct configuration and intended use but the skirt has been laced on with a modern shoelace. Apparently a quick repair by previous owner, this is reflected in the price. Overall reasonably solid condition. The gold wire border on the skirt is frayed from age and there menpo itself has a crack on one side (Please see photos attached)...

WWII Japanese binoculars. Generally worn condition throughout. Not falling apart but missing some areas of leatherette cover. Good for display if you need a cheap piece. These are not the little ones that seem to be all over the place and measure 18cm in length.

Cool grouping from a member of the 90th Bomb heavy bomber group. This unit fought in Asia and was famously called the "Jolly Rogers" after their skull and crossed bones unit ID. The patch is blue with red stripe with one nip about 11 o'clock and some rub burn around the bottom edge (See photo). Also included is an excellent 11 place miniature medal bar and a unit history from one of the reunions. Very fun set.

Lovely example in wonderful condition with no damage found. Beautiful workmanship throughout. Two tone blade is extremely attractive and fits into the scabbard like a glove. The wood on handle and scabbard top is warm and healthy with a beautiful wavy grain. There are figures carved into the handle in two separate places. The ferrule has a lovely filigree style and I believe it is silver but I may be wrong...

Nice pair of deluxe luftwaffe dagger hangers. There is a repair to one strap near the main clip. There is every indication that this repair is period and other then that this is a real nice set. The main clip is the Thor hammer style with RZM U.E. 19 maker mark. All three clips are also DRGM marked. Being a deluxe example, all the hardware is attractively covered with oak leaves...

Kriegsmarine marked battle flag. Has the "been there" look all over it and a fair amount of holes from age and wear. In my opinion enough to give it a cool look but not too much. Please see photos for worst areas. One corner has a few white spots. I think it is a neat flag and I have priced it low.

Interesting tinnie marking the 60th year of this particular veteran group, likely started by veterans of the Franco-Prussian war. Upper left is a swaz, upper right the typical veteran monument. Center has a lion rampant surrounded by "Krieger Kamerad Schaft Hassia" translating loosely to War Comrade Society. Ribbon below has the dates 1874 1934. Excellent condition with an area of oxidation on upper left of rear. Veterans groups were one thing that Germany had not been short of over the years...

Nicely done bone inlay tray. I would think that this is from southeast Asia. Good sized example at 47x33cm. There is a fair amount of surface wear due to age as well as missing inlay here and there. I do not repair items but I would think that the missing inlay could be filled in and of course there are always ways to fix surface wear. The wood is a mystery to me being quite dark and having a grain that looks almost like hairs. Pretty work on this piece and priced quite fairly.

Very cool dog tag for Oflag II E . "Oflag" was basically a stalag for captured allied officers. Oflag II E was known as Camp Funfeichen in Neubrandenburg, Germany and began accepting Polish officers. The next wave was from the Balkans and included British and Yugoslavian officers...

Very cool dog tag from Stalag XII A . Prisoner number 88 871 . This POW camp was located in Thorn Poland and initially received captured Polish prisoners. In 1940 the first 403 British prisoners arrived from the fighting in Norway. These were followed by around 4500 from Dunkirk and then soldiers from the 51st Highland Inf. Div. captured in Saint-Valery-en-Creux. In 1941 the first Soviet prisoners began arriving and this became the norm until liberation on February 1 1945. Good condition with th...

Nice mother's medal from the fascist Italian era. Each bow represents a child. There are 6 bows on this one but it looks like a 7th was at the top but has been lost to time. Slight green tint to rear of ribbon.

Very hard to find helmet for waist gunner. Certainly used on B-17 but not sure of other 4 engine bombers. This is the early model with the long, pointed ear flaps that were shortened rather quickly as they were too obstructive. This one is in unissued condition. Even though the helmet is metal they somehow applied a slight fuzzy surface. I would assume this fuzz is so that it wasn't too cold to the touch at high altitude (Maybe). At any rate, this fuzz has the weird ability to make almost any co...

Well this item is somewhere between "really cool" and "super cool". As the variety of devices for pickelaube were so vast this salesman was given a set of photographed examples to pedal. The brown envelope is about 31.5x42cm. The text on the envelope identifies it as the offerings of the maker Paul Meybauer and published in Leipzig. The envelope itself shows some minor wear but is really in pretty good shape considering age and likely usage; Still crisp with no damage or even any folding creases...
