| This is certainly one of those "wow" items. Original "HJ Wache des Gauleiters" or Hitler Youth Gauleiter Security Service cuff title. A bit rumpled towards the ends but that is because I am a purist and don't alter anything in the least. This cuff title along with a little over a hundred photographs and some other personal items were "liberated" from the office of Gustav Adolf Scheel who, among quite a few other job titles, was Gauleiter of the Salzberg area. The photograph shown in this listing is of Scheel along with Dr Robert Ley and the HJ security detail. One of the fellow's cuff title can just be seen. Also shown is one of Scheel's business cards. It almost seems that Scheel was waiting for the new security guys to show up and get their insignia when he had to scramble out of his office possibly minutes ahead of American troops. The photograph and business card are not included in the lot but the lot could be expanded with some negotiation. Extremely rare cuff title with an amazing history. | |||||||||||
