| This is a piece I have had fun decorating with. Nicely detailed German soldier under a terrific looking eagle standing about 18cm tall. Piece is well cast and even looks good (Nice and deep) in profile and detail to the eagle's feathers continues onto the reverse. Nicely polished with a pleasant smooth texture throughout. I do not know what I would call the metal; While it is black I would think this too light to be iron. While the base is smooth and it stands alone quite nicely I believe this was originally made for some sort of elaborate plaque. Interestingly, the rifle is actually a separate piece and wired in from the back. One post with hexagonal nut on lower left of reverse. This is a piece that would look great in just about any display and is a great size for display purposes. | |||||||||
