NSFK Forderer Donation Document w Colorful Stamps
This is a very interesting item. Appears to be a donation schedule for an NSFK forderer. A forderer was a sponsoring member. This was necessary as after the Versailles Treaty Germany was not allowed to have an air force. The NSFK was introduced as a glider society to keep young Germans interested in flight and to encourage the next generation of pilots. This society necessarily relied on donations. The outside of this document has spaces for all of the usual document type information. On the inside there is a grid of months and years. Apparently when a donation was made for a given month of the year the forderer would get a stamp to affix in that position. It looks like this member may have been wealthy and paid off all of his donations at once and partially affixed the complete set of stamps as a complete sheet. Document measures 12x14 cm and stretches from October 1938 to September 1943. This is really a very interesting document.
