This flag is fresh out of an estate auction in Delaware. There are innumerable reproductions, some aged well, coming out of Vietnam currently. This example is guaranteed original and correct. The center features a Viet Cong medal. The text basically states the flag is from a local task force presented to Huy Hieu, an esteemed soldier in the liberation of Gia Dinh, a province or district near Saigon. Unit number is 269. The date is 1969 which was during the tail end of the conflict. really a nice, richly embroidered flag. There is some ink on the right side that looks like the fellows kid maybe got it with a magic marker but this is not terrible noticeable at all (See photos). It is currently mounted on a heavy, solid black frame. If I am mailing this I will have to remove it. I can leave it in there if being picked up. The flag is about 33x39 inches. The frame is just under 42x47 inches.
