Prussian Pioneer Officer's Peaked Cap Imperial German

Prussian officer's peaked cap. I believe the color scheme indicates a pioneer regiment. Excellent condition. One tiny opening (about 2mm) in the three bands of red piping. Some very minor paint loss to the cockades. Visor shows one very small area with two very small scuffs. The underside of the visor shows some light wear but as it is white everything is highlighted. Interior fabric is perfect. Thin leather sweatband shows wear and two small tears on the rear less then 1 cm each. Highlighting all the minor damage makes it sound rough but this hat really is in superb condition especially considering its age. It's shape is strong and the exterior fabric is soft and clean. The velvet band is still ownderfully soft and smooth. An excellent hat at a very reasonable price.
