Baden Pickelhaube EM WWI German Spiked Helmet

This is the second of two enlisted pickelhaubes I picked up that have had a combat cover on them likely since the end of the war. This one also is close to mint on the outside right down to the finish on the fittings, but shows age and wear on the inside. Normally I would think the chin strap a replacement but I am not sure as the outside is in such perfect condition. Perhaps just to be safe I should call it a replacement chin strap. Minor stitching loss to the right rear visor and one piece of cracked leather trim on the rear left. Again, inside shows its age and the markings on the rear visor are there but too light to make any sense out of. All in all a really nice helmet.
