Unmarked McCoy Brown Jug Cookie Jar. This Jar has the the McCoy three foot bottom.The Nelson McCoy Company operated until 1928 when it became part of a conglomerate. These stoneware products did not have the McCoy trademark.It was around 1929 that the company began to mark its wares. Some form of the original company operated until it was sold in 1967. Nelson McCoy, Jr. remained president of the new company until 1981. All pottery connected to the original McCoy ceased to be made in 1990.
