Mama bear with baby bear on top of a sack. This is an old cookie jar with most of the paint gone. There are no cracks, chips or dings. On the inside, there is a strip which looks like someone ran a finger through the clay when it was still wet. No marks as to maker but this is a great piece for the serious cookie jar collector.

Rectangular jar measures 7" long from handle to handle, 3 1/2" wide and 5" tall to top of handle on lid. Has attached saucer with same grape and leaf design as jar. Inside of jar is discolored from age and/or use. Ladle has small chip (see picture) but this is truly an unusual item you may never find again. I am told it is a Red Cliff China, Grape pattern, made 1961-74. There are no marks but this definitely looks that old. There are no chips, cracks or chiggerbites of any k ...click for details

Large pitcher (12" high) and bowl (16" across) with lavender blush around rims and handle of pitcher. Pitcher also has violets on each side. The bowl has minor streaking inherent in fired pottery but no major flaws. There is one small flaw in the glazing of the pitcher (see photo) but not serious enough to mar the overall beauty of the set. No markings and do not know exact age. An excellent gift for that someone who loves reminders of a by-gone era.

A very nice piece with most of the paint intact, although there are a few spots missing on the bow and most of the black is missing on the right eye. There is a hairline crack about an inch long toward the right back of the rim but it is not apparent when the lid is on. A good addition to any serious cookie jar lover's collection. Don't know age or maker but bottom is marked "RM2".
