Welcome!

Here's a nice pair of coin silver spoons marked D Cohen on the back. An very interesting set of early coin silver.

The engraving on the handles are worn, but to me it looks like a stags head crest over a torse (a twisted piece of cloth) over the initials "MSP"(?). I have not been able to find a DCohen as a silver maker. The only reference I could find was that of a watchmaker in New York City from 1826-1831. (Likely a retailer not a manufacturer). I don't know if that is the maker - but it's the only reference I could find.

Condition on the pair are good. The bowls of the spoons are a bit blunt, and there are a few small dents. The backs have a star burst pattern on the heel of the bowl. The only marking is D Cohen stamped on the back. There appears to be no loss of color or bends - with only mild surface scratches.

Please let me know if you have any questions. FREE shipping in the US (48 contiguous states). Thanks for looking - have a great day!!
