1884 edition of the 3 volume set - The Stones of Venice by John Ruskin. Published by John Wiley and Sons. Includes 3 volumes full of color and black and white drawings.

This set contains the original box for the books, however the box is taped and torn flat (1884 price was $7.00). Covers: Green cloth with gilt top edge and gilt accents and lettering. Slightly softened spine, mild scuffs. Pages are very clean, no hand writes, one page is loose, all others firmly attached to their spines.

John Ruskin released each of the three volumes of The Stones of Venice over a two-year period from 1851 to 1853. The Stones of Venice is an expression of a philosophy of art, nature, and morality that goes beyond art history.
