This amazing little ivory carving is in the form of an ear of corn with a "cutaway" type view inside to a very detailed scene of people and houses. Although I believe this to be done in the 20th centuring using mechanical tools rather than hand tools, it is still an amazing feat to have created such a piece. It is artist signed as well. Excellent condition.

This oil painting is quite old (19th century) and in its original frame. Both have taken a beating. The frame is chipped in places and pieces glued back on. Looks pretty good though. The painting has a very dark varnish and has been relined. A few missing flecks of paint too. However, all those conditions aside, the subject matter and size are terrific. In excellent condition, this square trinket box is of very light burled wood with dovetailed, hidden hinges and self-lip on lid. Wonderful. Usually you see the cigarette cases, but not boxes like this one. Dimensions on photo.

This print is framed. It is artist signed in pencil and the series is numbered. The artist's signature is R. Douglas. The picture portrays a small young male child "peeing" (and missing) in front of a toilet. Cute.

This is a superb painting done in the Romantic style showing a bucolic riverscape with soft clouds in a blue sky and lots of soft-edged trees. A tiny man and woman fully clothed wading in the shallows with sticks looking for ?? (crabs, clams, oysters?) Excellent original gilded frame. 19th century. Signature "Andersen". Old professional repair patch on reverse. Crackling to the surface finish. Could stand a cleaning. Back of canvas has a stencil/stamp of Miller Vienna. If it didn't ...click for details
