This miniature urn/vase is mounted in a bronze ormulu structure. It is missing a lid. The body is cobalt blue with lots of raised gilt decoration. The front of the piece is decorated with a portrait of a a very art nouveau styled woman with wings coming out of her head. Perhaps she represents some allegorical figure. The gilt border painted decoration includes beautiful orchids. The rear is decorated with a pattern of elongated fleur de lis in raised gilt. Exquisite yellow and pink roses adorn this tapestry textured shell shaped box. Excellent condition in spite of the chip and resulting hairline. How can that be? Thankfully, the tiny chip is on the inside top of the lid and the hairline is virtually invisible from the topside. I was so thrilled to find this sweetheart that even though I picked up the lid and looked inside the box I didn't (!!) inspect the inside of the lid and so didn't discover the defect until weeks later! My mistake. M ...click for details

Exquisite. Unmarked. I don't know the exact mold number, but I have no doubt that it is RS. Bought from a household whose heir supports the age to be at least 75 years. The portrait is a full-body view of a young woman. Really must see to believe! Excellent condition.

Absolutely perfect in every way! Gorgeous handpainted and gilded decoration. Very beautiful and eye-pleasing shape. Puce marked for 1888. This teapot has two sides - one side has blue flowers and the other side mauve-y ones. It is quite small - perhaps a 4-6 cupper. Remarkable condition. All gold decoration is in a deep, burnished color - not bright. It is consistent throughout and is original to the design. This piece is guaranteed not to have been damaged or repaired. The little girl in Victorian dresser pouring a cup of tea is in bisque while the attached, floral decorated spill vase is highly glazed. Impressed numbers on unglazed bottom makes me sure it is turn of the century or earlier German. No hallmarks though. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, repairs! Pictures to be added.
