This extraordinary enamel set is done on either brass or bronze. It has a peachy/apricoty colored, machine engineered enamelled base with a handpainted enamelwork scenic of ducks in flight! Great colors and execution. I am shocked not to find either an artists signature or a maker's mark. I deal a lot in enamels and have never seen such pieces. This item is an electric blue (medium blue - not cobalt) guilloche enamelled compact (enamelling is on all sides). It has the original mirror and teensy powder puff! Gold washed interior. Good hallmarks with artist's initials impressed as well. Sterling. Miniscule surface flake about 1/16" (does not affect color at all). A+++ condition.

This is a mint-in-box compact by Stratton. Inset into the top of the gold-tone metal lid is a large cameo by Wedgwood England called "Cupid". White raised figures on a blue jasperware ground. Excellent condition. Original Stratton box.

In superior condition, this heavily engraved .800 silver lipstick compact is extremely well done. It has a faux opal enamelled pushbutton which when slid down releases the hinged mirror of the case. Non-enamelled sides are fancy engraved. Never used. No lipstick residue remains in the bottom of the case.

This 2 1/2" diameter compact is in excellent condition. Not even a scratch on the enamel work! Color is a very pale buttery yellow. Mirror and powder compartment in excellent condition. Must see.
