Gorgeous Romantic Scene Mother of Pearl Framed Fan

Enclosed in a convex glass and velvet backed frame, this extraordinary antique fan is wonderful to look at. The painted and printed picture on paper depicts a series of romantic scenes. Each of the fan panels are intricately cut into figural fretwork on mother-of-pearl. There is visible damage to a few of the mother-of-pearl panels. Also, the fragile paper has been reinforced with tape in several of the folds from the backsides. Due to these condition issues, and the fact that it is impossible to capture them on camera, the fan is priced completely "as is". Best evaluated in person at the shop. The metal ring-like devise at the bottom of the fan handle has seed turquoise set into what is probably brass.
