Sterling Silver Minaudiere (Purse) by Blackinton

Lovely "hard" purse (known as a minaudiere) fashioned from sterling silver by the American silver maker, Blackinton. The purse measures approx. 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" plus the 12" link chain handle. The beautifully chased floral design (same on both front and back) surround an oval cartouche which is not monogrammed. This dates from about 1900. The interior is lined in a muted green moire patterned silk which is in excellent condition also. Three compartments to hold your small but precious needs (keys, change, bills, etc.). The center compartment is shown closed.
