This beautiful duck planter is made by the Frankoma Pottery Company. It measures 12 inches long, a little over 6 inches at the widest part of the wings, and about 6 inches at the tallest part of the head. It appears to be in unused condition and has the Frankoma signature and number 208 on the bottom.
This striking deer planter is a contrast in black and white with accents of gold. The upper edge of the planter has a lighter drip glaze. It is unmarked, and the bottom is partially unglazed. The deer is similar to those found in McCoy and Shawnee pieces. I have seen the same planter in other colors, but this is by far the most attractive and would be a great addition to black and white decor. There are no marks, cracks, or defects on this piece.
