Offered is a very nice antique box for a necklace, from West Virginia jeweler Harry M. Fisher, who commenced business in 1912. It's a bit under 9 1/2 inches long. It probably dates to about 1912-25. There are a few stains and signs of wear, but overall it is in fairly good condition for its age, with a staple on one side, presumably to reinforce the hinge. Such boxes are very hard to find, and house antique pieces beautifully...
Offered is a very good and fairly large Victorian rolled gold or gold plated brooch with what appears to be an amethyst. It appears to be a gemstone rather than glass. This brooch dates to the 1865-80 range and is very likely American. It measures a little over 2 1/8 inches wide by about 1 1/2 inches high, and weighs about 8 grams...
