Southern Coin Silver Tspn by Thomas Boyle Campbell
A good American coin silver teaspoon by Thomas Boyle Campbell of Winchester, Virginia, circa 1820-30. Southern coin silver by Campbell is occasionally seen in the Western part of VA, and this spoon came from that Shenandoah region. This spoon is engraved with a period script monogram of "K" and bears a clear maker's mark. It measures about 5 13/16 inches in length and weighs about 16 grams. Condition is fair, with some light tip wear and some small dents to the bowl, and light surface wear overall, but no splits or repairs. A fine piece of early Southern coin silver!
