Cincinnati Coin Silver Youth Fork - McGrew & Beggs
Offered is a fine and scarce early American coin silver youth fork by the partnership of McGrew & Beggs. Wilson McGrew and Joseph P. Beggs were the partners in this watchmaking and jewelry firm active in Cincinnati, Ohio from ca. 1843 to ca. 1848. This fork measures about 6 1/16 inches in length and weighs about 28 grams. Condition is good, with some time wear but no splits or repairs. This piece features a good clear maker's mark and has no monogram or obvious sign of erasure. All in all a fine early American coin silver fork!
