Lovely Decorated Early to Mid 19th Century German Parcel Gilt Beaker
Offered is a fine German parcel-gilt beaker, probably circa 1825-75, bearing the silver standard mark of 13 loth, denoting 812/1000 fineness, and a maker's mark of a script-like "B." This piece bears finely executed grape-and-vine decoration, and and period script "H" owner's monogram in a shield. Condition overall is very good, with little or no dimpling and no splits; there appears to be a small repair to the body, but it is too well done to capture in a photograph. This piece measures a little under 3 1/8 inches in height and weighs about 82 grams. All in all a fine piece of 19th Century European silver for display or for use!
