Great Set of Six Philadelphia Coin Silver Teaspoons by Osborn Conrad
Offered is a fine set of six American coin silver teaspoons by Philadelphia jeweler and silversmith Osborn Conrad, circa 1840-50. Mr. Conrad's biography can be found in Hollan's "Philadelphia Silversmiths." These spoons bear clear maker's marks and a good period engraved script monogram of "HH" - they also bear Conrad's unique "EQUAL TO COIN" standard mark. These spoons measure about 6 1/8 inches in length on average, and weigh a total of about 106 grams. Condition is excellent overall, with little wear, no dents aside from a tiny dimple or two, and no splits or repairs. All in all a fine set!
