Rare Set of 6 Baltimore Coin Silver Dessert Spoons Assay Marked - 1819
Offered is a very fine and rare set of six early American coin silver dessert spoons bearing the maker's mark of Andrew Ellicott Warner, Sr., and fully marked with Baltimore assay marks for the year 1819. It is challenging to find a complete set of dessert spoons this far back, much less a set with Baltimore assay office hallmarks. This substantial set bears clear marks on each spoon, as well as a period script monogram. The spoons average about 7 3/8 inches in length, and they weigh about 240 grams altogether. Condition overall is good, with little wear, a few dings and dimples to the bowls, and one tiny ding to one handle, but no splits or repairs. All in all a fine set of Baltimore coin silver dessert spoons!
