Early Coin Silver Teaspoon from Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Ca. 1813-18
Offered is a good early 19th Century American coin silver teaspoon by the short lived partnership of Connecticut silversmiths Philo and Julius Pratt, working in Old Saybrook from about 1813 to 1818. This piece has a good legible maker's mark and a well-executed period script engraved monogram. It measures just under six inches in length and weighs about 20 grams. Condition is very good with modest tip wear and signs of normal use, but no major dents and no splits or repairs. All in all a fine piece of Old Saybrook coin silver!
