Fine 18th Century Philadelphia Coin Silver Tspn - Joseph Richardson Jr
Offered is a fine early American coin silver teaspoon by noted Philadelphia silversmith Joseph Richardson, Jr., circa 1790-1800. This teaspoon is initialed "CB" in period script and bears one of Richardson's larger maker's marks. This piece measures about 5 15/16 inches in length and weighs about 20 grams. Condition is good overall, with some surface wear and some minor dents and dings to the bowl, but no splits or repairs. There could have been a silver test given there is a small notch on the handle. All in all a fine spoon by one of the most desirable American makers!
